Earth's Last Hope, Doodles and Gizmo's Battle Against Evil - Salene Hill
Gizmo
A person lying down with a dogGetting to know you.
‘Doodles are you awake?’
‘No, Gizmo it is still dark outside. Go back to sleep, we have more hours to rest. Our human companion and her mother will not appreciate us getting up early, especially on a weekday.’
Doodles lazily rolled over to the side and licked her soft fur. They have both stayed up late because of watching the New Year’s Firework with Scope III. The noise of the fireworks was loud and ear piercing. Gizmo was afraid to leave the bedroom. Doodles had adventured into the living room beside their companion.
The night sky was very bright, with fiery tips and bright colors. It was five minutes past midnight before Doodles went to bed. Gizmo wanted to sleep with Scope III, so she placed Gizmo in a large crate. The other human companion across the street, Scope II, had gone to bed earlier in the night.
Minutes later, Gizmo made a soft howling noise. Doodles knew that something was not right in the universe if Gizmo wanted her attention. She stood on her paws and meowed in the dark. A low beam from the streetlight outside gave way to enough light for Doodles to walk to Gizmo’s large crate. The oversize young dog was trying to go back to sleep, but he was shaking with fear.
Doodles
A cat sitting on a table‘Gizmo! What is wrong with you right now? Were you dreaming again? If this is one of your tricks to get Scope III attention, I am not going to dare awaken her. For weeks Scope III has worked overtime.’
‘You failed to understand that because we are animals our owner can also give us away. She is nicer than her mother and grandmother, however, Scope III is developing a new temper. Gizmo, is there something interesting that you need to tell me?’
The young pup wrote lazily on his stomach and pointed towards a window. Doodles slowly walked to the half-pulled curtain and stretched her short neck to look outside. In the distance she could see a different type of blue light flickering. This light was different from the fireworks previously.
Doodles then quickly turned to her left and grabbed a small pair of tweezers to unlock the crate. Gizmo became excited and pushed the crate door open with a mild thrust. Doodles gave her mission partner a disciplinary stare and pointed toward Scope III.
‘I am going to write her a letter, making sure that she understands our journey. Scope III will alert other star adventures of our passing through the Earth’s galaxy.’
‘Get yourself ready to formulate a plan for our leaders. I will give you only minutes to get that sneaky look off your young face and dress.’
Doodles did not want Gizmo to question her wisdom. She had tried to raise him well with the other humans, but Gizmo failed to learn instructions and important codes. He was intelligent but lacked mental impressions. Doodles silently walked behind the clothing hamper and grabbed her transformation suit. She watched Gizmo try to pull on his larger walking boots and gave a hiss.
She had to help Gizmo walk in his boots on each trip. The year of the Dragon was upon the earth, and most animals had the knowledge of being important. It would take Gizmo years to gain the specialty of lofty standards development and leadership. Doodles had moved into NASA’s placement for extraordinary animal years ago. It was Doodles endless task of training Gizmo for their human family.
Scope III believed that Gizmo was a strong, male competitor for the ages. Her mother, Scope II had watched Doodles grow into a remarkable animal specimen. She wanted Gizmo to quickly learn the same discipline.
Gizmo had a simple, but interesting way of arranging his suit. His star-gazing equipment was always too large for his small eyes. Doodles would cut off the equipment an inch below Gizmo’s nose. After twenty minutes of layering their bodies for all types of weaponry and atmospheres, Gizmo and Doodles slowly walked out of the front door.
At the bottom of concrete steps sat a 19th century type of spacecraft. Doodles pushed Gizmo toward the spacecraft and took one more look back to the house. She hoped that Scope III could explain to her mother that the moment of crisis was at hand, and they needed to talk to superior individuals in Washington.
Doodles followed Gizmo into the spacecraft and turned on its lights.
‘Brace yourself Gizmo! We are going to retrace our flight back to Washington for a small conversation with dignitaries this morning. The blue light toward the north star is shining too bright.’
‘There must be a reason you awaken with a fight. This journey will take an hour or two. Do not be frightened, I will secure our flight. Scope III needs her sleep at this moment. If you make noise, the community may try to stop our mission. Relax and close your big mouth!’
Gizmo was always nervous about flight in the night skies. Doodles drove all things fast like their other companion Scope II. He thought that humans were going to fast in life and needed to enjoy the sunshine. Gizmo had noticed that Doodles were aging a little lately. She had this forever madness look, and barely played friendly with Scope III.
Gizmo understood that middle agers like Scope II were aging quickly also. Scope II had transformed into a beautiful female over the years. It was a distinctive look from Scope III. Gizmo had heard Scope I voice, but never met the older person. Gizmo had questioned his doggie friends, if possible, a human and a feline could be blood related.
Doodles quickly brought her busy mind back to the sounds of Gizmo snoring in the passenger seat. Gizmo wore large, white, and black, elongated, hard metal goggles, a United States’ flag, and eagle symbol over his left chest, a white, metal breast armor with bird-like wings, and a pair of long, metal trousers.
He resembled an expensive metal trash can that now lined the streets of Washington. Doodles had to laugh at herself, despite the ways that Scope II tried to make Gizmo look important.
Scope II had told their other human companion to give Gizmo a more superior outfit. Doodles stared down at her space suit and was grateful that Scope II had a hand in the creation. The feline oversized cat only wore white and blue metals, with a thin chest plate of a creation of the stars and moon.
Doodles wide back held a large, round force of twilight weaponry. Her eyes were pure yellow, and her creme fur had turned white. There were different metal and bronze strings of listen devices wrapped around Doodle’s legs.
The earthly journey to Washington was a small flight. Gizmo sat upward in his seat. Doodles had a dangerous landing near Mother Doom downtown. She had a strange way of getting everyone’s attention and loved to push the spacecraft into a rush of forceful speed. Doodles stared back at Gizmo with an evil glance.
‘It is time for us to talk to the Superior Ones this morning. I hope that you are ready to enlighten the crowd with each lesson given to you by Scope III and Scope II. Do not embarrass me today.’
‘We need to make humans know that our honor is to this planet. Months ago, you failed
