    About This Book

    In the current information era, the challenge we have is not lack of information. The greatest challenge is how to filter the right information from the ocean of information around us for the right purpose. That challenge extends to the learners and other people on their study programmes and examination preparation journeys. Due to the flooding of varying information about almost everything, learners and other people preparing for their examinations are likely to lose focus.

    To remedy the challenge we mention, the book "How to Pass any Examination and Test Using a Checklist Tool" has been designed. The book development is based on project management principle of planning, organizing and structuring using a checklist tool. The purpose of this book therefore is to help learners and other people studying and preparing for their examinations and tests to maintain focus. The book provides a simple, clear and logical guideline for using checklist in a study, examination and test preparation.

    Using this book, learners and other people studying and preparing for examination can apply checklist technique to plan, organize and structure their study work. That way they become focused to their study and examination objectives.

    The book is built on four chapters. Chapter one includes a brief history of examinations and tests, evolution of examination and challenges in preparing for examinations and tests. Chapter two highlights the purpose, scope, benefits, beneficiaries and when to use this book. Chapter three is a clarification of key issues in examination. This include; examinations preparation meaning and need of a checklist, the purpose of examination, myths related to examination, difference between a test and examination, examination setting, examination grading standards and assessment criteria, reasons for passing and failing examination, key elements of examination and different levels of examinations.

    Chapter four guides the user on how to apply checklist. The key elements covered include; introduction to checklist and application in curriculum, syllabus and course outline, SWOT analysis, course objectives and outline, learning materials, study and revision plan, questions structure, time management,  self-testing and competence tests. It  also provide guideline on how to develop study checklist, working with the checklist, self SWOT analysis, developing active learning skills, breaking down study work, schedule and example of a course outline.

    Finally the book includes reflection and suggestions for the training facilitators.
