Trip to Detroit the wrong turning - mia mornar
Chicago is my hometown ‘Sarah thought to herself’. She has been living in Chicago all her life.
The town is so gorgeous during Christmas time. She didn’t feel like leaving at this point but her employer Maichel was sending her to Detroit to work on her new story which was so important for her writing career.
Sarah has to investigate and talk to Detectives who were catching the serial killer on the run.’
Somehow she felt a strange feeling about this trip to Detroit just before Christmas. Deep down she didn’t want to go.’
Her lips closed tight as she thought about the job. Her face changes expression. She took a deep breath and walked to the kitchen to cook the food.
The night was cold and the first snow had already fallen. Sarah loved the wintertime; it reminded her of her first love Craig, the lost love of her life.
Christmas is always like magic for her, always so special.
She sat down to eat dinner in the living room. Her little dog Bob was stretched out close to her feet waiting to get some of the food by making funny faces.
Something on TV has caught her eye. She turns on the volume of the TV to listen very carefully
They were talking about the serial killer in Detroit. She knew how important it was for her job to go there and found out as much as she could to write the true story.
They didn't say much on the news, but the serial killer was still on the run.
She could see there were couple of Detectives involved working on the case.
As she felt so tired, she walked to the bedroom and lay down in her cosy bed.'
The following morning Sarah woke up and sat down on the corner of her bed, touching her long black hair, her eyes looking at the clock on the little table close to her bed. She was looking around the bedroom for her slippers. It was already late morning, and she must have slept over again.'
Slightly awake, she walks to the kitchen. She knew she had to book the flight to Detroit today.'
She feeds her dog Bob and puts the cattle to make her special strong tea.'
Murmured to herself: 'oh I' don't feel like going to Detroit' Her
