Bridget woke up earlier than usual that day. Ever since the unfortunate news of the civilian plane crashing broke, the phone had not stopped ringing and her small Inn was booked overnight with reporters and photographers coming to cover the event, the proximity of her little establishment to the crash site undeniably the reason for it.
She looked out the window at yet another gloomy, rainy day. The January sky was heavy with dark, ominous clouds. What an awful time to hear about the loss of your loved ones, she thought, just after the holidays and the beginning of a new year.
