Vivek Ramaswamy, the author, introduces himself as a traitor to his class, setting the stage for the controversial insights he shares in his book. He details his background: born to Indian immigrants in Ohio, attending a diverse public school, and then a Jesuit high school. Excelling academically, Ramaswamy graduated from Harvard in molecular biology and later joined a hedge fund, eventually becoming its youngest partner.
In 2010, he pursued law at Yale while maintaining his hedge fund job. Post-law school, he founded Roivant Sciences, a biotech company aimed at challenging big pharma’s bureaucracy. Despite initial success and setbacks, his company eventually developed important drugs for various diseases.
