THIS MOMENT THEY REMEMBER
The moon was generous
and gradually they make out the sky which is a bright
metallic blue. ..sounds seem to grow louder with the
call of the night heron
And the subtlemovements
of tiny creatures through the tangled oak trees a
thousand years old or more and a wave of giddiness
comes over them
And when they look
on this moment they remember the clear starlight
the sweet warm air and when they remember this feeling
they become charged
With excitement
they remember how very alive they felt. .. how much
in love. .. how foolishly excited by the mysteries of
love... and how
They felt invincible
and on his battlefield of manhood ...she was his
princess and he is her white knight riding forever
by her side
With a passionate heart
and a delirious head he lays beside his beloved
putting a bouquet of daisies so fresh soft and beautiful
tenderly in her arms
SHINING THROUGH THE DARK
The feathers
The charm of melodious birds
Caress the very chords of your throat
Warblers sound
And you begin to trill
As sweet as any songbird ever could
An elixir wild
As free and musical as ever was
The forests are full within this picture of snowy pines
The cold breath
Of dawn flutters across the sky
Hearts are still imprinted upon last night’s snow
Thought now paints
And their songs color and pour
Over my world as I reclaim song and air
My dreaming body
Is caught in this force of absolute alignment
This moment tightens into a fusion of incandescent wings
A light swift
Fluttering of pure clean and sure motion
Falling out of the sky with words to catch me
A crisp breeze
Blowing through my time bringing flecks of gold
Light to my eyes shining through the dark of dead poets
WRITING ON HIS HEART
She touches his body with her mind
As there he lays sleeping ...she’s always been his lover
Little traces in her mind
Bring him back to when their souls first encountered
She is whispering
But how he failsto understand her intense yearning
As she mixes stars
And the dust of lightning fervently just in front of him
He cannot escape
For her hands are like flowers breaking his icy ground
Taking him down
To a place carried by the snow’s swirling wind
Writing on his heart
With pure icicles curling with white-hot flame
Deeper and deeper
Little drops ofsun cling and hold golden-white hands
For the more he feels
The more his mind changes ...the more he needs to
