EVERY LEAF IS A SHIP
IN THE FALL
Sam was a cheerful boy who lived in a small town. One morning, gazing out from his bedroom window, he noticed the leaves gradually turning yellow. This marked the beginning of fall for many. While most viewed autumn as a melancholic season, to Sam, it was a time when leaves danced in the air, a period when nature transformed, resembling a vibrant painting crafted by an artist.
On his way home from school that day, a leaf on the sidewalk caught his attention. Stooping down to pick it up, he admired its bright yellow hue and intricate veins, likening it to a tiny boat. Imagining this leaf as a charming vessel, he slipped it into his pocket.
Once home, he filled a plastic container with water and set the leaf afloat. To his delight, the leaf swayed and floated, reminiscent of a boat on calm waters. That day, a thought struck him: perhaps the autumn leaves were nature's vessels. Maybe trees were setting their leaves adrift in the fall, letting them embark on new adventures. The falling leaves weren't signaling the end, but rather, new beginnings, akin to ships embarking on vast ocean journeys.
