Silver Ladder - Erdal Turna
FROM THE TOP
Asım was a boy who made a hill near the village his playground. His favorite activity was to climb the hill and look out over his village. Everything looked so nice from up there. The houses, the trees, the people. They were all like tiny dots.
One day, as Asım was watching his village from the top of the hill, he noticed movement in the village square. The villagers were preparing for a festival. Everyone had left their other work to prepare decorations and food for the festival. As Asım watched this beautiful scene from the top of the hill, he felt great joy and happiness.
From his vantage point, everything appeared quite different. He could see that everyone was working together. He could see that they were laboring for the festival and making their own contributions. This sight made Asım very happy.
When the festival started, Asım came down from the hill to the village square. He saw that everyone was together and very happy. Every villager had a smile on their face. This sight gave Asım even more hope and joy.
Maybe that was the best thing about looking down from a hill: Seeing everything from a wider perspective.
Everything's Wonderful
During the festival, Asım played games with his friends and had fun with everyone. At the end of the festival, Asım climbed the hill again. When he reached the top of the hill, he closed his eyes and replayed all the memories of the
