PROLOGUE
January 06, 1860. A well known Italian explorer Rico Angelo has convinced the Kingdom of Sardinia Dictator Giuseppe Garibaldi to provide him with funds to purchase a small Barkentine Sailing Ship. He convinced Garibaldi by telling him his goal is to sail this ship to find and relocate the lost Island of Tristan. If he is able to do this he will claim and give rights to Garibaldi’s new planned Kingdom of Sicily and rename the lost Island Garibaldi Haven in his honor.
Rico now with Garibaldi’s approval he has convinced other Scholars and Government officials he can complete this task using the latest navigation devices and charts. He shows them he has the location of this long lost Island pinpointed at exactly Latitude (Lat) 38 Degrees South, Longitude (Long) 13 Degrees West.
February 03, 1860. Friday morning at 0600Hr Rico Angelo with a small crew of 20 experienced sailors from the Naval Academy Corlacel Cadorna set sail on the His Majesty’s Ship (HMS) the Matilde for the long lost Island of Tristan. This long voyage is expected to take 4-5 months with stops at various Ports of call along the way for supplies, maintenance and rest. March 30, 1860, Tuesday evening about 1600Hr and almost 2 months in to this voyage the HMS Matilde makes landfall at Cape Town, South Africa. After a 3 day lay over Rico plans to set sail for his goal the long lost Island of Tristan on April 03, 1860.
April 03,1860. Tuesday morning about 0600Hr the HMS Matilde with favorable winds sets sail across the broad Atlantic Ocean for what Rico has figured will be the long lost Island of Tristan. Rico estimates the last leg of his goal will take approximately 2 months to cover the 2025 Nautical Miles (NM) at sea if they can average 30 plus NM per day using shear parting to full Blown sails and winds.
May 31,1860. Thusday night late about 2300Hr the HMS Matilde finds itself in heavy seas fighting extreme headwinds and unbeknown to Rico are way off course. Rico is standing in the open steering cockpit along with his Coxswain Gallio who has just reported seeing two Bright red lights to port. Rico tells him he does not see any red lights only total darkness. All of a sudden the high winds settle and lay down and the seas become dead calm. Rico tells Gallio that’s strange as a heavy damp dense fog sets in and begins to engulf the small ship. The small ship comes to a complete stop and begins to just drift. Gallio tells Rico he can no longer see out as visibility is zero. Rico tells him to maintain a westerly compass heading. Just about that time a Giant Green Head Red Eyed Loon breaks the surface of the calm seas on the port side of the small squared rigged sailing ship. The small ship is no match for a Giant Green Head Red Eyed Loon this size and within minutes the ship is crushed down beneath the surface of the sea and becomes awash and sinks. Rico is thrown high in to the air and clears the free line sheets and badly ripped sails. As he falls he strikes his head on a large mast cross bar and hits the water unconscious.
June 01, 1860. Friday morning early about 0630Hr Rico wakes up soaking wet lying on a beautiful white sandy beach. As the warm water washes up around him he gathers his thoughts. Son of bitch (SOB) what the hell happened? Where am I? Finally he stands up and now remembers a Giant Green Head Red Eyed Loon crushed down on and sank his ship. He thinks this cannot be, those Megalodons (See Foot Note 2) are a Myth. (Could this be a Green Head Red Eyed Loon Mystic)? As the sun begins to rise Rico quickly surveys his surroundings and begins to walk down the beach. He searches for other HMS Matilde crew members that may have survived this tragic ordeal, He sees and hears no one. No survivors all 20 of his crew members lost at sea, he is the only survivor. Sadly Rico continues to walk. As far as he can see this Island is lush with beautiful fruit trees and fields of wild vegetables, it’s a God Given Paradise here on Planet (PE). As he stops to look around he can see far in the distance a high volcanic peak that bellows exhaust particles, hot gases and pure white smoke. A narrow stream of lava weeps down from the peak and flows for miles to the beautiful blue Atlantic Ocean. Now standing on a high rocky cliff Rico can see large Batteries of Green Head Red Eyed Loons fly over and land just below him in a golden meadow. He gets a cold chill as you can feel and see this is their home, their Private Island, their Paradise. One thing for sure it is not the long lost Island of Tristan. As Rico walks further he begins to think about home. Will anyone ever discover this place and find him alive? Will he ever see his loving wife Matilde and his only son, five year old Ribera Angelo or his childhood home Palermo, Sicily again? Somewhat depressed he decides to collect dried driftwood from the beach and build a small fire. He cuts down small trees using his seaman’s machete and starts to build a small (Laavu) a lean-to. A little tired Rico sits down by the fire and peels himself another fresh golden ripe banana. He resolves himself to an unknown fact this Island Paradise may be his home for a long time to come, may be forever.
June 13, 1860. Monday morning, up early Rico completes his breakfast, checks his camp fire and stone cuts some more on a huge nearby rock sign he has designed showing his identification. When finished the sign will spell out and read; Green Head Haven Island. Rico Angelo, Palermo, Sicily 1860. Land of the Green Head Red Eyed Loons
. Getting somewhat bored Rico decides to take a walk and cross the Island to explore and investigate new areas. On a hill top he looks out and cannot believe his eyes as he sees in the far distance an old Light House. He walks along quickly and very excited and finally approaches the old Light House and sadly finds it abandon. An old worn out sign hangs above the entrance door that states Green Haven Light 1760
. SOB that’s one hundred years ago. He thinks to himself who the hell constructed that old Light House? Where are they? Where did they go? (Could this be a Green Head Red Eyed Loon Mystic)?. It’s now getting dark and too tired to walk back to his Laavu he decides to lay down and take a nap. As he does this a raft of four Green Head Red Eyed Loons gather around and quietly stare at him as if at a funeral wake. Finally feeling safe he begins to look up at the very top of the old Light House. There on the high porch perched on the safety rails Rico watches as several Green Head Red Eyed Loons scan the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and broadcast the known Light House Danger Zone using their bright Red eyes. Rico continues to stare straight at them and their bright Red Eyes until he becomes hypnotic and transcends in to a deep self induced coma. A coma that consumes him body and soul for the rest of his life. A coma he will never wake up from. Rico Angelo (Ribera Angelo’s father) is at Peace with himself, God has his plans, God has spoken, Rico Angelo has found his Paradise here on PE, Green Head Haven Island. (Could this be a Green Head Red Eyed Loon Mystic)?
CHAPTER 1
LIFE LONG DREAMS
COME TRUE
This strange bizarre (More like Weird) story begins in the Dade County area of Miami Florida U.S.A. January 03,1939. Tuesday morning about 0900Hr Corlene Mafia Family Cartel (CMFC) Head Man and Boss
Don
Ribera Angelo is in his office. This office and conference room forms a part of his elaborate apartment complex located on the 12th floor of his Dade County Park Hotel and Casino. Ribera sips on his coffee as he goes about his business setting up for his usual monthly business meeting. This beautiful Hotel and Casino Complex and its vast surrounding grounds was constructed back in the late nineteen twenties on this vast waterfront land purchased by his Cosa Nostra Corlene Family home based back in Palermo, Sicily.
Since it officially opened in June 10, 1929 this Resort Complex has been rated in most Travel Magazines as one of the top ten Resorts in the U.S.A. This Resort provides a variety of entertainment activities: Gambling (All Forms), live entertainment, outside beach activities, charter boat fishing and general boating sports etc, you name it. It’s all here! Like Ribera tells everyone; if we do not have it here you did not need it anyway! The Restaurants and Hotel Rooms are second to none. This beautiful Resort Complex is affiliated with two other similar Hotels and Casinos. The Hamiltonian Park located in Hamilton, Bermuda and the Guayama Park located in Puerto Rico. These three CMFC Complexes are similar in size and operate under the same strict Mafia rules and programs. To enhance the availability and entertainment to the General Public in all three locations Don
Ribera has contracted, ordered and received delivery of four new midsize Cruise Ships.
