    Chapter 1

The chilly air cut through Isaac. Peaks of snow covered the grass. Each step took effort. White glistening frost submerged his black shoes. The air smelled of pine and oak. The three of them stood before a wintery timber cabin.

Isaac shook his hair, dusting off the snow to reveal his soaking black hair. He covered himself in Cameron’s coat. Cameron looked giddy, jumping about like a puppy. His golden hair bounced as he ran through the snow. The snow soaked through his white shirt. His tan abs peeked through the fabric.

Cameron had pleaded for them to join him and his family for Christmas at his cabin. Not that Isaac minded. His parents were happy to hear he would be with his boyfriends for the holidays.

Jackson seemed grumpy. The drive had been draining. The snow couldn’t cover Jackson’s red hair. The black circles under his eyes hinted at his exhaustion. He wore baggy sweatpants and a black sweatshirt, shivering slightly.

It is so cold. I thought California would be warm, Jackson complained, yawning.

Isaac found Jackson’s Australian accent pleasant. The more exhausted, the thicker the accent.

That is southern California. The north is always nice and snowy during Christmas. Who doesn’t love a white Christmas? Cameron declared, tousling Jackson’s hair lovingly. Cameron was British. Much of his family had moved to California when he was a teenager.

Jackson leaned into Cameron’s touch. Isaac wrapped his arms around Jackson’s waist, kissing his cheek. The three stood embracing in front of the cabin. It was their first Christmas together. Isaac had never dated two men at once. Their relationship was new. He was excited about it. The electricity of their touch, the warmness of Cameron’s presence, and the unyielding passion of Jackson made for the perfect union.

Let me give you two a tour, Cameron offered, taking them both by the hand.

They took off their shoes and brushed the snow off. Cameron wore ridiculous long reindeer socks. Two oak benches greeted them next to a stone archway. It was not a large cabin. There were three bedrooms and two baths
