About this ebook
After six years of a relationship going nowhere, Jett Thompson has moved away to start over. Maybe his new neighbour David can help distract him from the ache left by his ex's absence. To get closer to David, Jett invites himself for a cup of tea, but things don’t go as planned. David is standoffish and secretive, and when Jett asks about the strange noises coming from the back of his garden, he gets no answers.
David’s life is good. He has a whole root cellar full of lovers, and he doesn’t need a nosy neighbour meddling in his business. He doesn't need a friend, but maybe he can make room for another lover. Jett might make beautiful cakes, but David knows nothing tastes as good as thin feels.

Deadly Sugar

Chapter 1: A Cup of Sugar
The chilly autumn wind made David shiver. Sometimes he wished he wasn’t living in Scandinavia, especially when he got sprayed with icy water in the middle of the night. Never before had one of his lovers struggled when it was time to get washed. Okay, maybe when they were new, but Chris had been with him a long time.
If there was one thing David couldn’t stand, it was the stench that came with them, the lovers. It was the downside of having them. Why do they have to be so smelly?
He took care of them, tended to their needs, and he was good at what he did. He was the one who got them back on track after they’d lost their way in life. Without him, they would continue their miserable existences, turning uglier each day, stuffing themselves until they looked like overfed pigs ready for slaughter. He took care of that—took care of them. He made them beautiful, desirable, and what thanks did he get? Nothing but whines, apparently.
The moon shone bright in the sky. David took a deep breath and glanced at the neighbouring house before staring at the young man disturbing the early morning peace. Chris was usually well behaved. Maybe I’ve given him too much nutrition lately? When the balance was right, they didn’t waste energy on struggling…unless—David smiled. He liked when they struggled underneath him, their slight bodies writhing like worms on a hook when he entered them.
But he had other things to think about now. He was a bit uneasy about having a neighbour. For years the house next door had been empty. The owner had asked him to mow the lawn and do a few minor repairs, and David had been happy to. He wanted to be surrounded by beauty—an ugly garden next to his would be disturbing. But now the house had been sold, and David could no longer decide about what flowers to put in the flower beds, he couldn’t enjoy the quiet as he once had. Not that the new neighbour had made much noise. David had only seen a man there, one single man. He had feared the house would be filled with children—fat, greasy, noisy children. He guessed he should be happy about it being just one person, but he still wished it could have remained empty.
With a frown, he watched Chris fight against the rope he used to restrain his lovers when it was time for their wash-off. What’s wrong with him today? He was dirty. He needed to be cleaned before he could go back to his bunk. That he failed to see the sense of it made David doubt his own judgement—he’d thought Chris had come further in his development. He’d been sure he was on his way to perfection, but this behaviour…David shook his head. He couldn’t have this.
With a deep sigh, he tweaked the nozzle on the garden hose, making the jet as hard as possible. If the man was going to be difficult, then it just had to be done in the most effective way. Hard sprays washed the dirt away quicker; that was a fact.
A knot of regret grew in his empty stomach. Is it time to give up on him? They’d had some great times together, and looking at the white skin almost glowing in the moonlight showed how far they’d come. The shadows played over the hollows and valleys. His hipbones were almost perfect, the alabaster skin stretched taut over the protruding arches. It would be a shame to give up now, but David could only do so much. If the men didn’t want to be helped, then there was nothing he could do about it. He’d thought Chris could become the perfect lover, with his blond hair almost as white as his skin, and the blue eyes in his hollow face looked enormous when wide with fear. His vertebrae gleamed like diamonds when the moonlight touched upon his wet skin. Perfect—or almost.
He turned off the hose, glad he’d managed to re-gag Chris after that terrible shout he’d let out. They’d been lucky tonight. Noise like that could easily have woken the neighbour, and David didn’t want to think about what might happen then. Better to make sure his lovers stayed quiet at all times.
One glance at his wrist told him it was getting close to half past three. The first sun rays were still far off, but he had three more men to clean, so
