Kobe Byrant was born in 1978 to his parents Joe and Pamela, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has an interesting character whose life was filled with numerous triumphs in his entire basketball career. However, he also experienced some appalling moments like a sexual assault charge filed against him, which almost ended his basketball career. Although he had performed well in his SAT, Kobe decided to join the NBA after high school. At only 19 years, Kobe Bryant became NBA's youngest All-Star while he was with the Lakers and his second season. Bryant won numerous awards, including two Olympic gold medals consecutively together with his teammates. After sustaining several injuries, including a torn rotator cuff, Kobe Bryant finally announced his retirement from basketball in November 2015 after 20 years of an outstanding basketball career.  

 

Kobe Bryant died tragically with Gianna, his 13-year-old daughter, on 26th January 2020. A helicopter they were boarding crashed in Calabasas suburb, Los Angeles, devastating his family, friends, and effectively the world.

    Kobe Bean Bryant was born on the 23rd of August, 1978 to American parents Joe 'Jellybean' Bryant, a former basketball player from Philadelphia 76ers, and Pamela Cox Bryant. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kobe's parents were served with a famous marbled beef in one of the Japanese restaurants. They were astonished by its delicious taste. Since they were almost having their baby, they decided to name him after the famous delicacy.
