Amie Charney

Amie Charney is a mom, an author, and a teacher in San Antonio, Texas. She is the Director of Creative Writing at the North East School of the Arts and was named the HEB 2023 Texas Teacher of the Year (Secondary Leadership). God’s Perfect Gift is her first children’s book, written as a part of her first original Christmas musical, also titled the same. Amie mostly writes Christmas Rom-Com films and was the first writer to be awarded the Harlequin Creator Fund for television writing with a development agreement for her original pilot, Cape Disappointment. Most recently, Amie was an Associate Producer on the feature film Stitched (2023). She graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University San Marcos and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of California, Riverside Palm Desert.
