About this ebook

The Myths of Hyawan

Man at the centre of creations

Myths play a vital role to study what our ancestors did in the ancient past and find answers for some of our existential questions in mind. Few understand the nature of myths as it is a way of interpreting higher truths found in the abstract state (world) and relating in common terms.

Humanity has passed through layers and layers of great events that eventually shaped the way we, the contemporaries, think and act today. The Myths of Hyawan takes you back in time and puts you near the stage where an important act took place 7000 years ago between Man and creatures of other kind.

Kahzn, a newly arrived human with a gift of Life from the heavens, obliviously found himself in the middle of a deadly power play amongst the Avians, the Beasts and the Animals kind. Although he emerged out victorious at first, it didn't guarantee him or his kind to hold their highest positions among all creatures for so long.

Later on, his own partner, the woman, made one bold move that cost not only Kahzn but the generations of all kinds that followed as well.

This book is the complete version of its predecessor, the Myths of Kahzn. The narration and the dialogues immerse readers within the actions and the plots of the story and surf along with the emotional tides of the characters. Most importantly, as we read through the pages of the book, we find some fascinating truth about ourselves, as human beings, and some shocking clues about 'the behind the scenes' of the world drama.

    Introduction

The Myths of Hyawan narrates the story of the Man who brought Life that enables humanity to establish a communion with the high Truth in the realm of Tibeb (Great Wisdom). The narration not only revolves only around his life and his activities but also tells the stories of the living ones, who followed his lineage.

Myth is a way of expressing higher truth, which is found in the invisible world or state, using different narratives as how it is revealed up in the lives of the earthly world.  Hence, it is impossible to confirm the truth by studying it like history or some sort of knowledge field, or by way of assembling certain information.

A Myth is a Truth found in the invisible world. Even though this truth has not taken its complete form-existence in the visible world yet, creatures lead the direction of their earthly lives as much as its scale of revelation thus far. We may find a number of evidences regarding this fact in the myths of different religious teachings.

In fact, it is tough to explain the way how the truth found in the invisible world reveals itself in the lives of the human beings here in this earthly world.  A writer or a storyteller tries to describe this truth in the best possible way with plots portrayed inside his imaginations.   For example, let say a truth saying ‘A man lives with his children in a so and so area’ is set in the invisible world. The writer or the storyteller takes this truth and may write the area where the man lives as in a ‘hut’ or in a ‘cave’, as per his imagination.  Moreover, regarding the children, he may put them as three girls or boys and girls. The main point here is not the story illustrated in the writer’s imagination, rather the truth stating, A man lives with his children in a so and so area. That is a truth that would make no difference either in time or in place. However, the story portrayed in the mind of the writer may create differences in time and place.

Still, it does not mean that the story portrayed in the mind of the writer is far from the truth. We may even find some writers’ visualization is better and closer to the real world.

Myths hold a generic message or a symbolic narrative about how the truth in the invisible earthly world manifests in this world over the course of a lifetime. It is not a direct account of events and incidents happening in this world.  This means a myth is drawn from the invisible world, not from the thoughts that are already revealed in this world.

Generally, a myth is not created by the people’s mind as fables about incidents of the past or as visions on upcoming happenings of the future. Rather, a myth tells a universal notion or a blueprint that the invisible truth in the invisible world had been or would be manifested in the visible world, by way of a writer’s imagination. As a result, a myth holds a spiritual content than the common stories do.

This book, the Myths of Hyawan, is simply a book of a myth. It generally discusses about the creation of the Man, who brought Life that enables humanity to establish a connection with the Truth. Furthermore, it also recounts the epic journey and the deadly challenges his successors, who followed his footsteps, had encountered until they eventually seized the ultimate power over the rest of the creatures.

As we mentioned earlier, this book features a mythological genre. In one hand, it tries to show how the truth in the invisible world is manifested upon this visible world in a broad-spectrum. On the other hand, it also exhibits a spiritual component with its foundation rooted in the invisible world.

In general, the Myths of Hyawan  is written for those people in the Man’s lineage who are striving in this earthly world to give an eternal life to their body and eventually become successors of the highest honor in the heavenly world. This book is not written for people from this world. The wisdoms contained in this book are obscured, sometimes even confusing, may have no value than being a fairytale, and hid their mysteries within themselves for those humans from this world.

I, Teninet Setegn or the son of Ruphael, composed what I was given from the great Tibeb (Wisdom), with a pure intention of benefiting humankind. I wrote this book with an honest heart, hoping that even if it does not serve the current generation, it would the next one.

In this book, I freely inscribed not the thoughts of my own, or teachings received from spiritual or religious schools of thought, rather the thoughts I have been gifted from the Great Wisdom.

Henceforward, if a reader finds these thoughts helpful, he may read them and use them. Or else, if a reader finds these ideas disturbing or obstructive, then he shall not read or use them.

    Chapter 1

On the third week of the Air Awud, and the beginning of the second chapter of my life, I embarked on a journey with WoldeRuphael – the bearer of the revered texts of wisdom, the one who unveils the wisdom hidden from humans’ intellect. He took me to a place, where the human being, who brought the element of Life for the first time, came in to existence.

It was about six o’clock in the morning.  To get to the point of origin of the human being, who came up with Life in a unique way than his predecessors, we had to climb up mountains, cross a sea and reached a vast sand field. After traveling through the sand fields of the desert, we arrived at a spot surrounded by a range of hills that look like some basketworks.

This is the place where your forefathers once lived, said WoldeRuphael, as I was stunned watching the hills scattered through the field.

What is it called? I asked him.

The region, including other places along the Great Rift Valley, used to be known as the Land of Dergeon in the olden times. But now this place is called Al Ula, he said. Remains of city buildings are seen carved out of the rocky mountains that used to be residential quarters long time ago.

Keeping our way to the left of Al Ula, we headed to a majestic mountain from which we could see the entire area from a high ground.

Better for us to go up to the summit before the sun gets strong, WoldeRuphael said.

It’s hot even at this early morning hour, I said, taking my jacket off.

That’s why I said it’s better to go uphill early. He started walking before me.

Then I followed behind him, trying to keep up with his pace. As we came close to the mountain, the sandy terrain of the desert bellow us began to stretch wide into a vast expanse.  On the field, the wind carries the sand and prance around like a restless baby goat. Somewhere in the distant, a swirl of windstorm moves towards a certain direction, but in the middle of its way, another windstorm stole its chunk and diverted its journey.  While watching the scenes and taking a sand bath, we came near to the foot of the mountain., We decided to take a break here for a while on a spot we found near a small footpath that goes uphill.

Are you saying that the human being who first brought life to earth was created here? I asked him. The place I am seeing now has begun contradicting with the stories I’ve heard about the first human so far.

Yes, he was created in this area. When we go up to the summit we will see the exact spot from a distance, he said.

How on earth can a living creature survive in this area? It is a Deseret. Was the place like this since the beginning?

No, it was not. It is now that has become a barren land devoid of life, he said.

I felt so exhausted so I stopped asking and gazed into the vast desert field while sitting quietly. Now and then, the wind relentlessly spins and carries the sand across the field and dumps it on some other spot. In the process, it creates small dunes on its way.

After a while, we started our journey up taking the pathway towards the top. The mountain is as pitch black as a burnt charcoal. There is nothing except the burnt rocks on its surface. After working our way up through the lifeless and tiresome mountainside, we finally reached a flat land at the top.

The area seems to have been burnt up many thousands of years ago, and the entire area was consumed by a fire blaze. However, it is clearly visible that it was not of a volcano. Each rock is so dark as if it was roasted. As we walked on the black rocks and climbed over some boulders on our way, we saw a small tree that looks like an acacia. We walked towards it to take a break underneath.

"After the human, who brought Life first, was created here, he used this mountain as his palace in the beginning," said WoldeRuphael as we were sitting under the acacia.
