Fable Short Stories - Joana Flores

    The fables

Do you know what a fable is? A fable is nothing more than a short fictional story whose main objective is to present a life lesson.

Generally, the characters in a fable are talking animals that have human traits such as envy, ambition, evil, and naivety.

The fables are simple and easy to understand, allowing children to quickly learn the moral of the story. They illustrate principles such as honesty, perseverance, kindness, or caution, helping children understand the consequences of certain behaviors.

And when we talk about fables, we cannot fail to mention Aesop, a Greek writer who lived in the 7th century before Christ. He created several popular fables, many of which serve as inspiration for the stories told here, such as The Grasshopper and the Ant, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and The Fox and the Grapes. All of them are simple stories that, even though they were created thousands of years ago, are still current and serve as valuable educational material for our children.
