A Lifetime of Tales from The Whispering Poet
1: THE WASP WHO CHANGED HIS WAYS
Once upon a time, there was a wasp who was a troublemaker in his community. His name was Wally, and he did everything to be a typical wasp. He liked to sting, steal, and spoil things for everyone and didn’t care about anyone but himself. He thought he was the best and the strongest of all the insects.
Even though Wally lived in a big nest with his family and friends, he didn’t get along with them very well, but always argued with his parents, who tried to teach him good manners and values. He always ignored his siblings when they asked to play with him and learn from him. Even his close friends were always annoyed because of his attitude and often tried to help him and have fun with him, but he would ignore them.
Wally’s family's nest was located in a beautiful garden where many other insects lived, but he didn’t respect them at all. One thing Wally enjoyed so much was stinging the local bees, who worked hard to make honey and pollinate flowers in the village. He always stole from the ants, who gathered and stored food for the winter and built amazing tunnels to help their community. Wally also bullied the butterflies and prevented them from dancing gracefully in the air and showing off their colours to entertain people.
Wally was very proud of being a wasp, and this made him look down on all the other insects because he thought they were weak, stupid, and boring. He liked to make fun of them and cause trouble for them. He never listened to anyone or learned anything from anyone.
Wally sang a song every day to show how much he loved being a wasp:
"I’m Wally the wasp, and I’m the best
I sting and steal and spoil with zest
Yes, I don’t care about anyone else
I only care about the best wasp
wasps sitting with several types of insect like ladybugs, dragonflies, hornets, butterflies and horseflies all at a dining table, with lots of sweet foods on the table like honey, wines, jam, and other foods loved by wasps, very realistic and clear with all their body parts highly defined, including their faces, realistic, film stock, bright colorsI’M WALLY THE WASP, and I’m the boss
I do whatever I want, because I’m a wasp
I do whatever I want, because I can!"
One day, Wally went to the garden to have some fun. He went out and looked for some insects to bother; it was then that he saw a bee collecting pollen, and he flew over to him and said:
Hey, you silly bee, what do you think you’re doing? You’re wasting your time with that boring flower! Why don’t you come and play with me? I’ll show you how to have real fun!
The bee looked at him and said:
"Hello, Wally. I’m busy right now
I’m collecting pollen for my hive
It’s very important for us bees
We make honey and help plants grow
Why don’t you leave me alone?
You’re not a nice person."
But Wally laughed.
"Don’t you think you’re being lame?
You work all day and never play
You make honey that tastes like glue
You grow plants that smell like poo
You’re such a loser, you silly bee
