While eclipses are not that uncommon, total solar eclipses often occur over the ocean rather than on land. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking the 2017 eclipse was nothing out of the ordinary. While people were watching, day was turned to night all across the United States. It had been ninety-nine years since a total solar eclipse crossed the entire United States, and having another total solar eclipse cross the entire United States again in 2024, just seven years later, is unprecedented.

Lunar eclipses (blood moons) are of prophetic significance for Israel, whereas solar eclipses are prophetic significance for Gentiles. It's well known that the United States has been the wealthiest, most powerful, and most influential Gentile nation. It is also a giant ethnic melting pot and hosts a proto-world government in the form of the United Nations.

Two total solar eclipses spaced seven years apart, crossing the entirety of the United States that form an X over the largest and main Gentile nation on earth should not be ignored--it should at least be thought-provoking.

No one can manipulate an eclipse or its narrow path of totality. Nobody can change the orbital mechanics of the planets, only God.

The writing is on the wall with a timeline of events, see for yourself. You will find yourself asking, "What are the odds?"

About the Author

In the writing on the wall in the book of Daniel, there was a message. It was to be read and understood. Daniel read the message and foretold an almost immediate future event.

And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky

to separate the day from the night, and

let them be for signs to mark the seasons and days and years."

In the Beginning

In the beginning, the planets were set into motion on a specific course.

Nobody can change the orbital mechanics of the planets, only God.

God, the Creator of nature, has authority over His creation.

Nature is not autonomous. It does not have the right or power of self-government, it is not capable of existing independently, it is not self-contained, and it does not carry on without outside control

Great Signs

There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. (Luke 21:11)

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. (Revelation12:1)

Notice that these verses refer to heaven as the source of the signs.

Luke 21:11 refers to great signs from heaven.

Revelation 12:1 refers to a great sign that appeared in heaven.

For 2,000 years, there was nothing written about God's plan of redemption. Adam and Eve left the garden, and there was no written Testament or Bible for them to read, yet God did not leave Himself without a witness.

Signs in the Heavens

The Magi watched and recognized the signs in the sky; the religious leaders did not.

Matthew 2:1–2 (KJV): After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, asking, ‘Where is the One who has been born King of the Jews? We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.'

The signs in the heavens were intentionally created and set into place to declare the events in the word of God.

Magi were not prophets; they were astronomers who understood the sign. They knew what was going to take place because it was written in the scriptures and saw that the sign in the sky confirmed it (Micah 5:2).

Is an Eclipse a sign?

Genesis 1:14 (KJV): "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and for years."

Luke 21:25 (NIV): "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars."

Isaiah 13:10 (BSB): For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light. The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give it's light.

Psalm 19:2–3 (NIV): "The heavens declare the Glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge."

Did Jesus say there would be signs in the heavens?

Luke 21:11 (TLV): "There will be great earthquakes along with famines and epidemics in various places, and there will be terrors along with great signs from heaven."

Luke 21:25–28 (TLV): "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. And upon the earth nations will be confused by the roaring of the sea and its waves. People will lose heart from fear and anticipation of what is overtaking the earth, and for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, stand straight and lift up your heads, because your salvation is near!"

Ezekiel 33:1–6 (NIV)

The word of the Lord came to me: Son of man, speak to your people and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not heed the warning and the sword comes and takes their life, their blood will be on their own head. Since they heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, their blood will be on their own head. If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone's life, that person's life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.'

It is your responsibility test it.

To despise something is to reject, disregard, or treat it as if it has no value.

In exercising discernment concerning the messages we hear, we must not quench the Holy Spirit or reject prophetic messages without testing.

Believers can't lose the Holy Spirit, but we can quench His work.

The Spirit is quenched when we suppress, prevent, or consciously inhibit the effect of the His influence in our lives.

Some of the ways He influences us is through SIGNS, prophecy, or the preaching of the Word;

therefore, Paul says, do not despise prophetic messages.

Believers must test prophecies against God's Word.

Believers cannot know and uphold true prophecy when they quench the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:17–19 (NIV)

In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.

Eclipses

While eclipses are not uncommon, total solar eclipses only occur about every year and a half, and more commonly occur over the ocean than on land. But don't be easily swayed into thinking that the 2017 eclipse is nothing out of the ordinary. On August 21, 2017, the day was darkened and turned to night in the path of totality all across the middle United States. It has been ninety-nine years since a total solar eclipse crossed the entire United States, and having another total solar eclipse cross the entire United States again, only seven years later in 2024, to form an X over the nation is unparalleled.

As the sky turned dark during totality, planets and stars hidden in the sky by the Sun's bright light reappeared, such as Jupiter, Venus, Mars, and Mercury.

The sun was in the constellation Leo. Venus was the brightest object, Jupiter was the next brightest object, but it wasn't visible everywhere in the US. Jupiter was around the constellation Virgo. Two other planets that were visible were Mars and Mercury.

Biblical astronomy is not to be confused with astrology, which is attempts to interpret it as having influence on an individual's personal affairs. Biblical astronomy recognizes that God created the heavens, and they are given to us for signs and for making time, days, and years.

The United States has been the most powerful, most influential, and most wealthy Gentile nation. It continues to grow as the world's ethnic salad bowl, and it is host to the United Nations, the world's only truly universal organization.

Solar eclipses are prophetic signs for the Gentiles, while lunar eclipses—also called blood moons—are of prophetic significance for Israel.

Two total solar eclipses occurring seven years apart, crossing the entirety of the United States to form an X over the nation is more than extraodinary, it's unprecedented.

ONE FOR ISRAEL

In Jewish thought, the moon has more of a connection with the Jewish people (the commandment to mark each new moon as the start of every month, and the fact that the Passover and Sukkot holidays are celebrated at the full moon) whereas the sun is more connected to the gentiles. The Jewish calendar is more lunar than solar, whereas the Gregorian calendar is more solar than lunar. Some rabbis are saying that this solar eclipse over the USA is God calling the attention of America in particular. What is interesting is that the US hasn't seen such a total eclipse like this from shore to shore for 99 years, but it will only be another seven years before it happens again, on April 8, 2024. This one will cross diagonally from north west to south east, but the following one will do the opposite, creating a crisscross over the land.

Solar Eclipse a Sign and a Wonder

"It seems a truly remarkable ‘coincidence' that despite the sun being 400 times larger than the moon, they appear to be EXACTLY the same size from this planet—but only from this planet, rather interestingly. Almost as if it was designed that way, as a phenomenon to be seen and enjoyed from earth. And that is because it was designed. It was designed by God for our benefit, not only for our sense of wonderment, but also as a sign. A clue about this is found in some words—and a single Hebrew letter—appearing in Genesis 1 (see part 3, The Tav").
