Kellen Montague's Skewed Values: Loner's Niche, #4
()
About this ebook
In a world filled with couples, regardless of gender or species, there are always a few misfits that don't quite belong. In this story, there are at least five, if not more, significant misfits that finally create their own Niche, the Loner's Niche, where outgoing narcissists aren't welcomed.
The five individual stories that'll be intertwined are as follows. They begin with Kiernan Prawl, and he's an exciting person indeed. While he is entangled in a situation beyond his wildest expectations, Isaac is given a painful lesson in dealing with sisters that cross boundaries and lines he would no longer put up with. Anya discovers who her real friends are and gets a bonus gift for being accepted back into her clan. Kellen is forced to recognize bonds he's always been aware of but ignored through sheer stubbornness.

Kellen Montague's Skewed Values - Draeme Saekyr
Dedication
Refrain from messing with people who have skewed values. Sometimes, they're the best of friends or worst of enemies. However, when the chips are down, those with skewed values will come through when least expected. Let's hear it for those people who are not of the norm.

Kellen Montague's Skewed Values
The third story is about Kellen Montague and is a pivotal tale that can either go bad or well, depending on his decisions. He's the anti-hero but not a villain, either. Kellen was just someone who didn't know how to communicate with anyone through anything but his fists.
A brawler and bonafide delinquent, Kellen was one of the first to catch sight of Kiernan after he was captured in female form. He didn't recognize the individual as she was called Kila,
which was not a familiar name. However, when he got a good look at Kila,
Kellen immediately knew who it was.
Now, he faces a difficult choice. Should Kellen help someone technically an enemy or attempt to become at least a frenemy who wouldn't leave him in the lurch?
Those questions have haunted Kellen; now is the time for him to step up or completely turn his back on everything he's worked hard for. Not only that, but he's about to learn a hard lesson in valuing genuine, friendly familial bonds over a missing blood family that would kill him as soon as they glimpse him in an unobtrusive corner.
Chapter 1
Never once in his misbegotten life filled with misery, abuse, and later brawling for the sheer hell of it had Kellen Montague believed he would reach a point when he'd lead a flock of misfits to safety.
There were people in that group he considered dear acquaintances, if not outright friends.
"People within Loner's Niche that would actually miss me if I was killed, huh?" Kellen found that difficult to digest. After all, he'd done nothing to attain such a high standing. Particularly not with the ladies, much less with Isaac.
Oh, he'd had moments when he fought with Isaac and others just because he'd run his mouth. This situation was out of his experience. Rescuing someone I think of as a frenemy because others treasure him? Kellen still found that notion laughable even as he'd penetrated that underground system of nasty traps. I must be outta my damn mind for doing any of this crap. He reflected and then sighed. No, if I'd truly wanted to avoid this complication, I wouldn't even go to Kiernan's place earlier. The realization shocked Kellen about the length of time that had or hadn't passed now that he thought about it. Does anyone know the time?
If Kellen was correct, they were close to the midnight hour or later. That would complicate their progress or lack of it severely in that case.
Had it only been four or five hours since everything went to hell in a handbasket? So much activity would drive anyone
