When I'm not creating stories, which is never, I'm tootling in my empty nest. Suffice to say I'm always tootling and finding story seeds everywhere. Life is great. It's better when you watch closely and see patterns repeat. Like turning back to fur babies when the kids have flown. Go #teamfurbaby! It's all good. My husband of 33 years has finally come around. We've adopted a feral calico, Peanut, much to the horror of Boo, our inside Turkish Van. (She looks like one and tends toward snooty airs to overcome her poor farm beginnings :^) Together, exploring fun foods, the joy of gardening, and what can be done with emptied rooms, we're getting there. Keeping it real. Exploring options. And choosing to be colorful whenever possible. Or maybe that's wishful thinking--always a good thing!

Christians Unite: Take Back Halloween!
Introduction
Halloween, that fall favorite with costumes, candy, and all things spooky has become increasingly controversial for believing Christians. Pro and con discussions about this Christian celebration have neighborhoods buzzing – or dead quiet thanks to myriad fears.
But, yes, I said it.
Halloween is a Christian holiday despite what bad press would have us believe about pagan festivals.
Whether you’re expecting to dress up as Captain Jack Sparrow, throw a block party with dry ice punch and witch finger cookies, dole out candy, or distribute religious tracts to trick or treaters, ‘tis the season.
If Halloween isn’t on your radar, you may ask yourself why you picked up this booklet.
Facts remain the same, however. What was once an approved religious acknowledgement of man’s mortality has become the equivalent of skidding on an icy mountain pass. The best way to regain control of one’s car in such a situation is to steer into the skid, not a natural reaction, then head on down the road.
Sadly, some veer toward B-movie thrills with demonic overtones when encountering the supernatural aspects associated with Halloween. Their motive? Fun. That’s all. These souls might be viewed as hapless passengers.
Other drivers conflate Halloween with pagan festivals because they can. They drive into the skid, but for the purpose of making a U-turn and gaining control over those who set out to reach a godly destination. This scenario has been used to fuel Halloween mayhem of all varieties to include predatory behavior that keeps parents afraid to let their children partake of this autumn tradition.
Outright Halloween naysayers often plow straight into the mountain of no dialogue, no fact finding,
