Halloween, that fall favorite with costumes, candy, and all things spooky has become increasingly controversial for believing Christians. Pro and con discussions about this Christian celebration have neighborhoods buzzing – or dead quiet thanks to myriad fears.

But, yes, I said it.

Halloween is a Christian holiday despite what bad press would have us believe about pagan festivals.

Whether you’re expecting to dress up as Captain Jack Sparrow, throw a block party with dry ice punch and witch finger cookies, dole out candy, or distribute religious tracts to trick or treaters, ‘tis the season.

If Halloween isn’t on your radar, you may ask yourself why you picked up this booklet.

Facts remain the same, however. What was once an approved religious acknowledgement of man’s mortality has become the equivalent of skidding on an icy mountain pass. The best way to regain control of one’s car in such a situation is to steer into the skid, not a natural reaction, then head on down the road.
