About this ebook

Even Demons get second chances at love. If they don't screw it up...again.

Ten years ago Olivia had her heart crushed. Ten years ago she made a new start, leaving behind her life as a succubus, and leaving behind the incubus who tore her heart and soul to shreds.
Today real love is finally within her grasp. All she has to do is let a witch make her human, and then she'll win the man she loves.
Before she can, she's going to have to face her past—a past that doesn't plan to let her go easily.
They say what you don't know can't hurt you. They are wrong.

This is a short story. A tasty bite of love. Enjoy!

    THOUGHTS BEFORE YOU START

    AND A BONUS PLAY LIST

I originally wrote this short story for an anthology about demons in love. I’m deeply fond of romance and deeply fond of strong and flawed heroes and strong flawed heroines. I’m also fond of writing men who screw up and need to take responsibility and make things right. I like strong emotion and that fulfillment I feel when things work out in a satisfying way. Kind of like my own personal reader-gasm.

I tend to write for myself first, and every time I read this story, it gives me all the right feels. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I want to add this. I don’t have the playlist of original writing, but was revising for you, I did end up with a short playlist that just jazzed me. I thought I’d share it with you:

    PLAYLIST

    Pink: Perfect (Fuckin’ Perfect version)

    Elle King: America’s Sweetheart

    Foo Fighters: These Days

    Lady Gaga: Million Reasons

    HUNGER PAINS

    A DEMON LOVE STORY

Olivia’s head spun, her vision clouding. She snatched blindly at the railing to steady herself. Behind her trailed a wide flight of steps down to a diamond-shaped plaza with a waterfall fountain in the center. Ahead of her loomed a lofty tower made of silver glass and blue steel. She tipped her head back, tracing the jutting rise of the building from its blocky base to the lights glittering like jewels around the crown. Though it was impossible, she imagined she could hear laughter and music drifting down from above.

Her muscles quivered. She hadn’t eaten—really eaten—in twenty-nine days, and her body was
