There's not much to know about me personally. I'm extremely boring. But I'm completely in love with my life, so it works for me. I've been married for over 13 years now to a man that still gives me butterflies and I have 3 amazing children that are obviously the best children ever!Writing wise, I'm all about the paranormal romance. Mostly adult, but have something in mind for a YA. We'll see how that goes.I think in my advancing age, I've managed to contract adult ADD, so I have a really hard time reading something that doesn't keep me completely entertained, which is why I write the way I write. I'm not big on romanticizing the appearance of a wall or putting scenes in my books that don't either lend something to the romance of the two main characters, or the story in general. Unless it makes me laugh. I do a lot of stuff because it makes me laugh.

    Chapter One

Daneeka frowned at the creepy sensation that caused goose bumps to pop up along her back and arms. What was it about dark streets in the middle of the night that made her feel less than safe?

She wasn’t afraid of the dark, but she was terrified of what could be in the dark. Being a supposed mythological creature herself, she knew all the horror filled possibilities, and by the way her hair was standing on end, she was about to meet one of those possibilities.

A dark figure stepped away from the wall of a brick building. The shadow of the awning she had been about to walk into, pulled back from his body revealing a skinny, pale man with ratted brown hair. Well hello pretty lady. Can I help you with something? Vampire. That explained the heebie-jeebies.

No, you can’t vampire. I have places to be and you’re in my way. She knew it wouldn’t be that simple, but it gave her time to work the magic into her hands so she could zap him when he decided to make the move.

The disgustingly skinny bloodsucker slowly circled Daneeka; making her have to turn with him so he couldn’t get behind her. Ah, so you know what I am?

The fangs kind of tipped me off. She had never been a big fan of this game. She had two friends that were vamps whom she adored, but this one wasn’t worth the shit she would be cleaning out of her clothes when he exploded in the next minute.

And what does a pretty little human know about vampires. He stopped circling long enough to sniff the air, and then he was again wearing a path in the asphalt around her.

Oh, sorry. I should have mentioned before you made an ass of yourself, that I am not a human. The constant circling was making her queasy. She was starting to wish he would just attack. She had to find a place to stay for the night and this was taking more time than she felt obligated to give the ignorant bastard.

He had the nerve to shrug his shoulders. It doesn’t matter. There are only two species I worry about. You’re not a vampire and though I can smell a werewolf somewhere, I know you’re not it.

She really wasn’t in the mood to hear that her species couldn’t possibly be a threat to this good-for-nothing tick. She let loose with a blast that knocked him on his ass. Unfortunately he was fast, and in a blink he was on his feet and flying across the deserted street at her. She misted out of his way and laughed when he hit the wall of the brick building behind her.

Witch? He asked when he righted himself. Blood flowed freely from his nose and his arm was hanging oddly.

She smiled, enjoying the look of confusion on his ugly face. No.

What then? He looked like he was ready to spring again, but he didn’t know what he was dealing with, and as stupid as he seemed, he apparently wasn’t going to attack something he knew nothing about.

Fairy. The voice was deep and sexy and all too familiar. The prickles that raced down her spine were of a completely different nature.

She looked down the street toward the direction of that voice. As soon as she spotted him, she was immediately aroused. Six foot five inches of leanly muscled male stood ten yards away. His disheveled black hair whipped in the wind, and his white blue eyes sparked with mischief.

Jayer? Her voice was barely more than a whisper.

The long time best friend of her older brother, smiled. One side of his mouth pulled up bringing out that sexy dimple. His cocky grin had been in her fantasies for over ten years.

She had been sixteen when he showed up at her house with her brother Trake. Within minutes it had been full-fledged obsession. She had dreamed about him almost every night since, and they only got more graphic with age.

Suddenly his head whipped around to the figure standing a short
