    PREFACE

    THE THREE HERITAGES

    "Knowing others is intelligence;

    knowing yourself is true wisdom.

    Mastering others is strength;

    mastering yourself is true power."

― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

    ––––––––

When someone has a destination, having an accurate and precise map of how to get there makes it easy for that person or human0 to reach their destination; and having an inaccurate and imprecise map makes it most difficult for that person or human to reach their destination.

It is better to have no map than to have an inaccurate and imprecise map, which can lead to that person or human to not reaching their destination.

Because of particular persons and their influence on the world. Many people and persons today have an inaccurate and imprecise map, leading to them losing their way.

Mafa a Taro is a map, compiled in order to help the humans and people of the earth to find their way to their destination.

Truth is based on three pillars:

    Your own experiences

    Your own observations

    Your own experiments

The words your and own indicate an emphasis on yourself. Truth can only be obtained through one's own will to seek truth from observation, experience and experimentation.

The beginning of any journey begins with the understanding of oneself. It is in the innerstanding  of yourself that truth is found. It is our hope that this textbook finds you having begun the journey of self-discovery, or at the very least, that you are beginning the steps of asking yourself the hard questions.

Most of those questions we hope to address within this text. But first, we want to take the time to share the purpose of this textbook and what we wish to accomplish in the lives of those who are diligently seeking the knowledge we have laid out herein.

MAFA A TARO, loosely translates into The 3 Heritages. It is written with the intention of helping those in search of themselves and the truth, to help them find the answers needed on their spiritual journey. The title of this work is especially significant as each human being who incarnates on earth is an expression of the combination of their unique three heritages. It is those three heritages that make up who you are.

The first heritage is your heavenly heritage. It is one that each person receives from the spiritual realms. Often times, this heritage is connected with your purpose (the reason why we come into life or existence – on the physical realm). The second and third of these heritages are one’s totems, one from each of your parents and their/your ancestors.

Totems⁰⁰, derived from the Ojibwa word ototeman, meaning one’s brother-sister kin, are sacred objects, symbols or spirit beings that serve as an emblem of a particular group, clan, tribe or ancestral lineage. These sacred totems are often passed down from generation to generation through your family lineage. Connecting to these totems and your ancestral lineage, is of the utmost importance as this allows you to gain a deeper understanding of your bloodline, the ancestors in the beyond and your guides who were assigned to you at the time of your incarnation on earth to assist you in your journey.

In order for one to truly understand themselves and their purpose, one must first know what their three heritages are, as well as have a connection and understanding to their home language(s). The combination of these two things breeds a healthy and successful environment for a deeper understanding of spirituality.

As you study this text, we ask that you  begin the work of discovering your three heritages, as the understanding and knowing of who you are is essentially the greatest piece of knowledge you could ever gain. It is after gaining such knowledge that you can begin to fully understand your purpose/destination.

As you move along through this text, it is our hope that you will do so in meditation. What we mean by this is, that you take the time to contemplate the information given, and follow the guidelines, and exercises given on how to implement, and put to practical use the lessons we have provided herein for your spiritual growth, and development.

Love and blessings to you reader.

    THE TATA NZAMBI WITHIN

Before we can fully dive into what is the Tata Nzambi within, first we must take a look at what creation is and what happens during the act of creating [1]. Tata Nzambi – Is one name used for the creator spirit who fashions persons from earth (clay) on a potter’s wheel.

Whenever we create something, we are manifesting[2] our thoughts and concepts, making them a reality. In today’s world, whenever we create something, we put our names on it to show ownership. This can be seen in the world of trademarks, in the arts, in inventions, or even in something as simple as when we create a Spotify playlist. We create, and we label so as to allow others to know who this piece of creation belongs to. We also do this to prevent others from taking credit for our work, our creation.

But, is that truly necessary in spirituality[3][4]? Is it even necessary in the world of science? Let’s find out.

If we understand that all within this world is in fact energy[5], then it stands to reason that even without putting our names on the things we create, our energies become the signature with which we can claim ownership over our creations.

For example, a child contains the Deoxyribonucleic acid, the DNA of both of its parents. We know that the major function of our DNA is that it receives and transmits energy by way of carrying genetic information for the development and functioning of the organism. At conception, the child receives energy from both parents. So even though that child will no doubt receive the last names of the parents, in actuality, ownership has been established via the DNA. In receiving the energies from both parents, the child becomes an extension of those parents, a piece of their respective energies lives on within the child.

The same can be said when it comes to a situation where the parents of a child are unknown. The child may have been given a name, but it is only through the DNA can we accurately determine who the proper parents of that child are. The child’s has received the energies of both parents, and because of this, no one can truly take biological ownership of that child as its parents unless there is a DNA genetic match between the child and the potential parents. We see this in cases where they may have been an unfortunate switch at birth or where a child may have been abandoned. Someone may take in the child, but its true biological parents can be found via the child’s DNA.

This is a simplified concept of course, but it works the same with our Creator. At conception, we received the energies from our creator, Tata Nzambi. In receiving the energy of Tata Nzambi, we then become, in a way, little Tata Nzambis. We carry within ourselves the energy and essence of Tata Nzambi and through us Tata Nzambi lives, breathes, and experiences life.

What does this mean? It means that though we are living a physical[6]/ corporeal [7]experience, we have within ourselves the Creator and with that, we are co-creators not just in this life spent on earth, but in our entire eternal[8] existence.

    CO-CREATION

As co-creators, we have the ability to shape our human experience. We have the ability to affect how we experience this life. We also have the ability to connect with the Tata Nzambi within.

I know you may be wondering... How can we possibly do that? We are only human, are we not?

The answer to that question is a yes and a no. Yes, we are human. We are all experiencing a human existence currently, but we are far more than merely human. Much in the same way that when we look at the child mentioned above, we know that in receiving energies from both of the child’s parents, the child will also receive abilities, patterns of thinking, certain behaviours, etc. We can say the same of ourselves as little Tata Nzambis.

We have the ability to tap into all that is Tata Nzambi. and this is because Tata Nzambis is Our father. We have the ability to create, recognize different energies, call energies to us or repel them away, and so much more. When we understand this, then we can truly begin to experience what Tata Nzambi wanted for us all, which is for us to live in our co-creative abilities.

So what does it mean to be a co-creator? To understand what it means to be a co-creator we must first understand that with being a creator, there are infinite[9] possibilities. There are no limitations when it comes to co-creating. You can literally create heaven in this lifetime or hell.

A silhouette of a person with arrows Description automatically generated

How? It’s simple... We create by way of our beliefs, our opinions, our feelings, our thoughts, our words and especially our choices and actions.

Our Inner self (or consciousness[10] or mind) is in charge of thinking, decision making and choosing goals for our brain and outer self. Our brain is in charge of vital bodily functions (like breathing, reflexes, blood circulation, etc) and bodily movement (like handling, walking and working). Our outer self (or ego[11]) is in charge of experiencing, feeling, believing and talking. Even though it is our brain and ego that experiences events and interacts with them, it is our inner self(our true self) that does the most vital work of bringing about those events via choice.

Our Inner self is conscious¹⁰ and responsible for choice. Our Brain is unconscious and is responsible for our body and movement and Our ego (or outer self) is semi-conscious and responsible for speaking.

Your inner self is the part of you that is directly connected with the source, that is Tata Nzambi. It is the part of you that is not limited

by the physical experience, it is eternal. So as the ego experiences, feels, believes and speaks, the inner self chooses to do, or not to do, to create or to destroy. So as co-creators, we need to understand that our brain and outer self is always on standby, ready for instructions on what to create.

A word of warning if the inner self chooses not to direct the brain and outer self, then the brain and outer self will move the body automatically (by instinct) based on muscle memory, past habits and strongly held beliefs.

For example, a person may believe because of past experiences and/or trauma that they are worthless. They may have had experiences in their past via their parents and/or relationships where they were told repeatedly that they are worthless. If the person accepts this as truth, it then becomes a part of their belief system[12]. And because it has now become a part of their belief system, their life will reflect a worthless life. One where they don’t accomplish much in life and experience many struggles (like laziness, addiction, low self-esteem, alcoholism, drug abuse, violence, self illusion[13], etc).

In the same way, another child may experience a life where they are told by their parents and mates that they are brilliant. If that child internalizes this and it becomes a part of their belief system, their life will also reflect this. They will experience things in life that validate this belief. So it is our beliefs, our thoughts, and our feelings that give instruction to our body on how to move. This is how co-creation happens.

Of course, because we have not been taught this process until now, we have allowed many of our beliefs, thoughts, feelings and words to instruct our bodies to create experiences we truly don’t desire. But, the amazing thing about understanding what it truly means to be a co-creator, we now have an opportunity to operate in our creative abilities.

    What does this mean?

Your world is literally whatever you make it to be. By being conscious about what our belief systems, thoughts, feelings and words are, we can then begin the amazing work of co-creating our lives for the better. With that understanding, we can now begin to discuss our purpose on earth at this time.

    SPIRITUAL VIBRATIONS

To understand our purpose in this life, we must first understand that everything in the universe [14] consists of energy that vibrates [15]. This means that all things within the universe are in a constant state of movement. Whether it be a human being, a thought, a desk, a dog, or a plant. Every single thing in our existence is a part of an interconnected web of electromagnetic waves. This is often referred to as the life force that allows us to connect a stream of consciousness between all atoms and particles in the universe.

Even the cellphones that we own today, though they may appear to be solid and still, in actuality it is vibrating at a certain speed. Let’s look at a ceiling fan.

When a ceiling fan spins at a certain frequency, the blades almost seem to lose their solid appearance. If the blades spin at just the right frequency they may seem to disappear altogether. Slow down the blades and you begin to see each blade more clearly. The same can be said about anything within the universe.

So your frequency is the rate at which you vibrate. Our bodies vibrate at a frequency that allows us to be solid. If the rate of vibration were to increase, we would then become... You got it! Invisible. This is a POWERFUL realization and it explains why we typically aren’t able to see spiritual beings. Spiritual beings, such as your spiritual team, spirit guides, angels, etc., vibrate at a high frequency. In order to communicate with them and receive their guidance, we need to raise our frequency.

    RAISING YOUR FREQUENCY

There are several ways to raise your frequency [16]. Just in the same way that our belief systems, thoughts, feelings and words create our realities, the same is true for our frequencies. You can not raise your vibrations if your thoughts and speech are centered around things that create anger, fear, anxiety, or depression. Our thoughts and speech, if centered around these negative things, lower our frequency. Instead, what we must do is focus on positive things such as gratitude, compassion, love, etc.

So in order to raise our frequency, the first step would be to intentionally[17] focus on having positive thoughts and speech. Some of the ways we can train ourselves to have positive thoughts and speech may include:

Focusing on the positive in any perceived negative situation: It is easy to focus on negative emotions when things aren’t going well. Instead, find the positive and focus on the lessons learned. Life is about learning at the end of the day. Begin to appreciate the lessons we have learned in life via our experiences as it is an opportunity to advance.

Practice being Grateful: Gratitude for the blessings in your life is a wonderful way to raise our vibrations. Focusing on the things we don’t have can only lower our vibrations, instead, be appreciative of what you have currently as the only moment that matters is your current moment. Be grateful.

Practice Self-Love: Loving and taking care of yourself is important as love is the key to enlightenment. Loving yourself can include a multitude of things. You can show yourself self-love by learning your boundaries and ensuring that you enforce your boundaries. It can be as simple as taking time to decompress each week to prevent yourself from overloading. Think about some of the ways you can show yourself, love.

Affirmations: Speaking affirmations, both internally and externally, helps in training our brains to think the way you want/need them to. This also helps us manifest what it is we want to see within our lives.

Figure 4 Figure showing 42 affirmations (The 42 ideals of MA'AT)

Mind your words: Often  times we say things absent mindedly without consideration to the true meanings of those words and/or phrases. Be mindful with what you say. An example could be that instead of saying, "Good Morning, try saying Grand Rising." We don’t wish for others to be experiencing mourning, so why would we greet them this way. Try being mindful with your words.

Feel your Emotions: When emotions arise feel them, acknowledge them and then release them. Be a witness of your thoughts, whether they are good or bad, but do not allow them to over take you.

Much in the same way that having negative thoughts and speech lowers our frequency, having negative actions/lifestyles have the same effect. So in addition to intentionally having positive thoughts and speech, we must also change our lifestyle to include things such as the following:

Meditate Daily: Meditation helps us to center and ground ourselves. It can also help us clear the noise of negative thoughts in our minds. If you are wanting to raise your vibrations, having a daily routine of meditation is beneficial.

Exercise: Taking care of ourselves is a form of self-love and loving yourself is a major factor when it comes to raising your vibrations.

Smiling/Laughing: When you smile, your brain releases tiny molecules called neuropeptides to help fight off stress. Stress lowers our vibrations, so doing something as simple as laughing can help combat the effects of stress.

Sleeping: Getting the right amount of sleep every night helps your body recharge and enables you to fall into the right realm of sleep to receive communication from the spiritual realms.

Spent Time in Nature: Being around animals and nature allows us to commune with nature and take in their healing energies.

Unplug from Screens: Begin to intentionally spend time away from TVs, phones, tablets etc., as we have to be conscious about the type of information we ingest on a daily basis. Instead, spend time surrounded by nature as suggested above.

Practice Forgiveness: People often hold on to old grudges and wrongs thinking that they are hurting the persons who have caused them harm when in fact you are only hurting yourself. When you are unwilling to forgive it is like drinking poison and expect the other person to be hurt. forgive, but don’t forget.

These are but a few ways that we can help ourselves raise our vibrations. As you begin to make these small changes, you will see that not only will you begin to vibrate at a higher rate, but your reality might also
