About this ebook
In our lives, there will be a day when time stops...then eternity will begin.
But if we wait until that moment to find out where we are going and how to get there, then it is already too late. That means it isn't too early to learn about these things today.
But who can tell us about eternity? Who is better able to tell us about eternity than God, the one who created time and eternity?
And He has told us by
a secret call from above,
a clear perception of truth,
an eternity in the hearts of men, and
the clear statements of the Creator.
Alexandr I. Solzhenitsyn (1918-2008) was a Russian writer who won the Nobel Prize in Literature for his work, which shook the hearts of humanity. He had a very strong faith in God.
Much of his life was associated with death. His father died before Solzhenitsyn was born. While serving in World War II, Solzhenitsyn witnessed the death of most of his teammates. In 1944, one year before World War II ended, his mother died. When exiled by Stalin to the Gulags, he witnessed the deaths of most fellow prisoners. One day, when the press asked him if he was afraid of death, Solzhenitsyn shared that when he was growing up, he was often obsessed with death and feared that he might die before completing his dream of writing literature. But after the age of thirty, he began to realize that death is not the end of a life but is only a natural milestone that divides two worlds: the world in which we now live and the world we will go to. From then on, he felt his heart always at peace when he thought about death.
Death is only a natural milestone: "And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). Death is something no one can avoid, but death is not the end. The problem is that, after dying, where shall we go? And go by which way?
This book is intended to answer those questions, along with many other important questions that have tormented many people's minds as well as the author's minds for a long time.

Is Heaven Real?
In our lives, there will be a day when time stops…then eternity will begin.
But if we wait until that moment to find out where we are going and how to get there, then it is already too late. That means it isn't too early to learn about these things today.
But who can tell us about heaven? Who is better able to tell us about heaven than God, the one who created the universe and heaven itself?
And He has told us. First, He has told us that heaven is real by the following:
A secret call from above
In my few days on earth, God has given me the blessing of living for more than a year beside Canada's great Niagara Falls, and now I am blessed to live in the Midwest of America, where there is not only beautiful scenery but also mysterious natural places.
Every year at the end of autumn, when the yellow and red leaves have fallen from the branches, when the earth and sky of the northern lands have changed color, and when the lakes start to freeze over, then at that time, across the skies, a secret call resounds.
There is a mysterious call from the sky, a secret reminder from above: This call reaches the depths of the hearts of the geese known as Canadian geese, stirring them up. Then each flock of Canadian geese seems to awaken, and flock by flock, they leave the water, honking loudly as they fly high into the air, heeding the call of migration. As they head southward, some flocks stop in the sunny regions of Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, and New Mexico while other flocks fly southeast to places like Florida.
These birds leave soon before the first snowfalls every year to enjoy the warm sunshine of the South. Among them are the young birds who have never seen snow. These newly fledged birds are born in the spring and grow up through the summer, having never experienced either the snow of northern winters or the green grass of the southern lands.
Why, then, do they move South for the winter, avoiding the snow?
It is because there is a secret voice that called them from the sky, a voice that resounded in their unknown and mysterious inner life. That voice tells them strongly that the rivers and lakes will freeze and that the grass will be covered deep under snow. That voice earnestly calls to them to migrate to the South, where the sun is still shining, the streams still flow, and the plants are still green.
For us as well, there is a secret call from outside our lives, resounding at every moment in our ears, in our souls. This call reminds our soul that our lives are only borrowed time, that our golden days are threaded on a silver cord that will eventually break, and that the springtime of life will soon pass into winter. This call earnestly invites us to prepare for the flight
that we must take at that time, the flight of our souls to the heavenly city where He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore
(Revelation 21:4).
That place where the book of Revelation tells us there is a river of the water of life, bright as crystal
(22:1) and the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit
(22:2) is heaven. In heaven, there will be no cold winter of prolonged illness, no darkness of dilemmas, and no nights of troubles. There, the sun of life will never set nor the moon of happiness ever wane. That is what heaven will be
