    It seems useless to describe my moment of death, because it didnt feel final, even when I lost my footing, slipped, and free-fell to the street. It seemed to happen in slow motion, as I hovered above my body and watched it fall. The enchanting voice that seemed to whisper my name was now visible a gossamer shape in a silver dress that waved in the wind. She smiled at me. And before she could speak, I realized who she was this was my guardian angel.

    In Heaven, Ciro is enlightened by the teachings and lost parables of Christ words the author believes were divinely delivered to him. He, in turn, shares them with you.

    Joe DeMono was born and raised in the small, tight-knit city of Port Jervis, New York. He first began writing stories and poetry at the age of fourteen, after receiving praise for his literary prowess from his teachers. Ciro is loosely autobiographical in its depiction of the character’s struggle to fit in, his being bullied by classmates in high school, and his confusion about his sexuality.
