Kept by an Angel's Message of Hope
()
About this ebook
Good or evil, your words can have the ability to unwittingly create self-destructive entanglements. There is no such thing as empty words. When we speak, angels and demons go to work. The angel's mission is to obey words that speak God's commands. However, the demon's job is to be counter reactive. They want to keep you out of the will of God. Have you ever seen something that you wanted and said, "One day I am going to have that..."? And before you knew it, you had possession of that thing. Was it just an unexplainable coincidence? Not in the spirit realm!
The central character in Kept by an Angels Message of Hope chronicles how she unwittingly spoke into existence an adulterous love affair. She brings to life the spiritual warfare that ensued speaking innocent but powerful faith-filled words. She exchanges the physical scars of a near fatal accident for the emotional scars of the guilt complex associated with adultery. Her grief is compounded by the arrogance of choosing an opportunist mentality rather than a relationship born of true love.
This is a true-to-life spiritual account of the creative power of words. Words that ensnared her into a decade long relationship of infidelity and bondage. She explores the sacrifice and high stakes of remaining in an aging unfruitful relationship.
The love interest is a high-profile NBA Rookie sensation. His wealth, generosity and fame were magnetic. Notwithstanding, he was also an NBA celebrated evangelical minister. You will go on a journey of discovery, love, betrayal and ultimately heartbreak. In this compelling drama, she navigates the temptations of the bait of Satan called Compromise.

About the Author
Lovingly dedicated to my first true love, my dear Daddy Rev. Tommie T Raines. RIP October 29, 1933–August 19, 1996
Introduction
In the dating game today, it appears that all is fair in the rules of engagement. You can have just what you imagine, no matter how impossible or immoral it may seem to others. After all, we use all things are possible (Mark 9:23) to those who believe. Right?
However, there is just one caveat: Make sure you're believing and acting on (Isaiah 59:1–5) that which lines up with the word of God. Otherwise, your heartfelt words can fabricate a sticky spider's web in which you will find yourself trapped prey.
Spoken words with confidence and the power of imagination have creative energy. You can construct your reality with your mind and your voice. Kept by an Angels Message of Hope recounts just how this principle created a relationship with a specific high-profile multimillionaire. It chronicles the repercussions of choosing to pursue a triangle with multiple entanglement relationships.
My sincere desire is that you do not locate yourself within the pages of this small book. If you do, there is hope. The scriptures at the beginning of each chapter and the prayers at the end will be health and healing to your mind, soul, and spirit. They will also give you a prayerful path toward the wonderful plan God has for your life.
Lastly, but most importantly, this book is a reflection as well as a love letter to the men who shaped me into the woman that I am today. First, I give honor to my dear earthly dad, who taught me unconditional love. My big brother Everett, who saved my life from destruction. My grandaddy, Tot Scott, who gave me the courage to live beyond the Scars.
Harry and Carl, who taught me the consequences of life choices. And finally, my pastor, Dr. Creflo A. Dollar Jr., who taught me how to elevate
my life path in Christ Jesus.
Very respectfuly,
Chynita Raines Warren

In the Beginning
A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.
—Proverbs 25:28
On a crisp overcast autumn day, I was sprawled out on the family room floor of our old Craftsmen house. The summer days had given way to the dreary look of a southern fall day.
As I glanced outside the double-hung windows with stained wood interior frames, I breathed in the countless wonders of the changing seasons. Our old Bradford Pear tree was again giving up the old to embrace the newness of the coming spring. The mahogany-red rain shower, coupled with the bright orange-red leaves, was cascading to their eternal home. They would rest on the ground as they transformed into their purpose as an enricher of the soil.
I soon became adrift with the leaf showers and turned my attention to a Whites' catalog of Christmas toys. I laid on my belly with my legs bent upward and leisurely swung them in the air. My dad casually strolled through the room. He reached down and pulled one of my braided plaits.
Dreaming?
he asked teasingly.
I looked up into the twinkle of those playful big brown eyes and said, Always, Dad
with a big toothy wide-eyed grin.
I watched as he pushed the wood-swinging café doors to enter the kitchen. I mused at the thought that my dad was indeed the first love of my life. In fact, at that moment, I remembered the day I fell in love with him. The first man for which I ever felt the bond of love. The man would encourage me to accept my imperfections and love myself unconditionally. He also modeled the art of unquestioning love for all his children, especially in the face of rejection and denigration.
I recollected the events that had led to the very moment my heart would first leap in recognition of true love. It had been a day very much like today. It, too, was overcast but snowing. Dad had gone to work, and my mom was on her way back from hers. There was about a thirty-minute window of time when my five siblings and I were left home alone. The house was filled with the smell of a country dinner of gravy-smothered chicken and rice. The sweet smell of homemade tea cakes swamped the air. I had just arrived home from school and was hungry! I wanted to eat. Dad had sternly warned us before his departure not to touch the stove. Our mom was to be home soon, and then we could eat. I was six years old, going on sixteen in my mind. I was strong-willed with an impulsive disregard for rules. So telling me not to touch the stove was like saying, Please turn on the stove.
My next action would almost cost me my life.
I had assured Dad that we understood his instructions and walked him to the door. He gave me one of his famous mustache kisses that tickled my lips as he left the house. Not uncommon for me, I sat in the bay window and watched his car move out of the driveway. Once Dad's gold Oldsmobile had disappeared from my site, I ran to the kitchen. I was determined to eat some of that smothered chicken right then. Being too short of reaching the stovetop, I grabbed a chair to help me in the quest of igniting the stove.
I felt determined to exercise my independence. Perhaps it was because my first-grade crush James Duran had finally said hello to me that day. I felt especially pretty in my brand-new red pan leather shoes and the red, white, and black wool cancan dress. I just loved how the ruffles accentuated each of my body's movements.
As I bounced up onto the chair, I could feel the weight of the cancan skirt swinging with my body. I felt empowered and clever for accomplishing my goals so far. Once I got a full view of the stove, I realized that there were also homemade biscuits and country-style sweet peas to complete the meal. My dad's biscuits were so light and fluffy that they'd melt as soon as you placed them in your mouth. I could totally imagine the taste of those buttery biscuits with the peach jam on top! In my childish haste, I turned on the smothered chicken eye on the stove. I took a spoon off the tray on the stovetop and began stirring the pot.
I soon began to wonder, How in the world do grown-ups cook all day? This
