Ultimate Victory - Okechukwu Chidoluo Vitus

    VICTORY

The more, I pray for hope,

The more, hopeless I seem to be hopeless.

The more, I pray for love,

The more, hatred comes my way.

The more, I pray for friends,

    The more enemies abound.

The more, I pray for wealth,

There is a lot of work upon.

The more I pray for peace,

    The more troubles comes,

    But I know,

God needed, God needed, God need.

    The people to work upon,

God needed, God needed, God need,

    The place to work upon,

God needed, God needed, God need,

    The world to work upon...

It is mine, mine, mine and mine,

    Victory...

It is mine, mine, mine and mine,

    Victory...

    It is mine,

    Oh God, victory...

    Is your problem inflation?

    Is your problem bad places?

    Is your problem bad politicians?

Do you hear say you should pray?

Do you hear God say you should pray?

    Then you know.

God needed, God needed, God need.

    The people to work upon...

God needed, God needed, God need.

    The place to work upon...

God needed, God needed, God need.

    The world to work upon,

It is mine, mine, mine and mine,

    Victory...

It is mine, mine, mine and mine,

    Victory...

    It is mine,

    Oh God, victory...

    MANDELA

How grateful are you for peace of South Africa.

You suffered as Jesus for the people that we loved.

You were willing to suffer in jail.

It is your love for South Africa.

You were born at a time like this.

To liberate the people from the shacks of poverty,

Even when you have to loose your freedom...

You would not stop till death,

Till everything in South Africa is liberated,

And soon he too was given to freedom.

You are quick to forgive all who fold you.

For un-forgiveness is a great burden.

And stops the future from taking place,

    You are ordained for greatness.

And you became the first president.

With a heart of gold, you ruled.

Till, the day heaven call you back home.

    NIGERIA, THE COUNTRY I LOVE

    Ibelieve my country Nigeria.

The only country I desired to leave.

The country with my pain and joy,

A country shadow of its former self,

A country of yet untapped blessings,

A country so imperial essential to me...

With all the troubles that I see,

I still say, Nigeria, the country I love.

I am proud to be a Nigerian.

A good land made for me.

If we cultivate this land together,

Till we get the finest brand from us.

A land all called doomed will resurrect.

Again I say, Nigeria, the country I love.

    NIGERIA I LOVE YOU

Ipray to write my way to fame.

One chance to be Chimamanda Adiche...

Being Chinua Achebe may be far.

I handed at the post office Onitsha every morning.

To read the newspapers that I loved,

Broken for all the stories broke my heart.

If it is not bandit, it is corruption story.

If it is not kidnapping, it is inflation story.

    So the stories kept growing.

So I kept dreaming with faith.

I would find reason to love Nigeria.

Though in my dreams I see thirty states,

Or more states out of Nigeria.

I would not tell what you see.

Hearing a friend returned home from America.

I hurried off to go and see him.

He was an author just like me.

I stopped enjoying him as I heard his story.

He got his doctorate degree from home.

He is a second class American citizen.

He did not have skills to get a good
