About this ebook

The question we have to ask ourselves is: How come the church in the third world is so bereft of resources?  We struggle to fulfill ministry because of the lack of finance, our churches are mostly badly kept without any type of maintenance programs and finance is not available for upkeep. We are having a real spiritual revival in the third world countries but financially many Saints are still struggling with poverty and have no concept of divine prosperity. This causes Christian projects to be incomplete and facilities and resources that are needed, are not forthcoming.

Keeper of the Storehouses - Ps Andre J Vaynol

    The Keepers of the Storehouse.

Genesis 41:56  And the famine was over all the face of the earth: And Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.

Many of the Pastors in the third world countries hold down one, sometimes two forms of employment so that they can continue to minister to those in need. Most of the Churches do not have a lot of funds, so the Pastors receive very little financial benefit from preaching to and teaching the people of God. Most get no salary from ministry and the finances that they do acquire, goes back into the ministry to buy resources, such as musical instruments and chairs. The question is: At what stage do they receive double honor (financial) for the study and preaching of the Word?

1Timothy 5:17  Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

We have dreams of creating Christian projects and developments and yet we do not have the means financially, to bring these endeavors to pass. We see what is achieved in the U.S.A. for the Church and we are appalled at our lack of resources in the third world. We just don’t seem to have the financial muscle that the churches in the U.S.A. and the European countries have. What is the difference? This question rings through the minds and hearts of all of us who would like to see our ministries grow and see the millions of people in our third world countries come to the Lord Jesus to be saved.

We too would like to have our own satellites that beam the Gospel back to earth. We would like to fund radio stations and make films that portray the Gospel in a way that will reach the eyes and hearts of the millions that are still unsaved on our continents. We would also like to be a major influence on the Church with our own homegrown Christian books and musical CD’S. All this takes money and yet; somehow the money is not with us, but it lies in the passive grip of the first world
