    Bridges

    It’s a constant battle of who matters the most

    Even those that matter the most will draw a line in the sand and have you standing by yourself

    Try asking for help and that’s when everything goes left

    Asking for smoke just to send an apology back

    Y’all would rather clap back then fight back

    Nightmares fighting dreams don’t know which one to believe

    Picking the wrong scheme would insight those that disbelieve

    Snakes finding holes under trees where we used sleep

    Gassing up all my accomplishments because most of my life I ran on fumes

    Building bricks with missed opportunities got me thinking is it all true

    Blowing friendships up until the balloon pops

    Spit in your face, hope you saw the alarm go off

    Red flags, no blood, walk, pay attention to how people talk

    Interpretations being lost in translation. Time don’t run on patience

    When you make it, you made it.

    Building bridges placing traps

    Poison

    I watched him stumble

    You would’ve thought it was from him washing his face

    But soap and steam weren’t the smell lingering in the air

    Or water running through his hair

    But a poison that was introduced to him
