About this ebook

Welcome to your Voyage Experience: “Turin and its region” guide. We hope that it will help you to discover this beautiful city, rich in culture, history, with an exceptional heritage and a tasty and varied gastronomy, but also its surroundings. You will see gorgeous palaces, great churches, large squares and green spaces. A human-size city which you can visit on foot or by bike to make the most of what it has to offer as treasures. Turin and its surroundings are an excellent destination for an extended weekend or even an entire week. The charm of Italy is well known throughout the world and the words are often too weak to describe the beauty of this country. Italians are welcoming, warm and not speaking their language is not really a problem because it is always possible to understand each other.

    Introduction

Thank you for purchasing this book and welcome to your Voyage Experience: "Turin and its region" guide.

If we were to write about all the places we visited, it would fill books of hundreds of pages, and the cost of printing in color would make the prices of our Voyage Experience guides prohibitive. Currently, paper versions are still preferred over electronic versions. Therefore, we always aim to highlight the most significant sites and synthesize as much information as possible. This paper book is based on an ebook that you can get for free on your smartphone or tablet (see at the end of the book the modalities) and where you can use all the features explained in the following section: "How to use the eguide". The eGuide offers you another approach to travel, between logbook and classic guide. You can imagine that we don’t have a team like Lonely Planet, so you will not find in this guide full of addresses of accommodation or restaurants. We share with you our own travels, discoveries and personal experiences. We hope this will help you discover new destinations and make you want to visit them. Note that the electronic version works almost like a website and doesn’t need to be used with an Internet connection (unless you want to access OpenStreetMap and the other hyperlinks we give you throughout the book). If you own an Android smartphone and want to save money on data, use the free MapFactor Navigator app that we warmly recommend, tested and approved on the roads around the world. The maps are available for free download to allow users to benefit from the offline mode and browse without a permanent Internet connection.

    Have a great trip !

    Sincerely,

    Cristina & Olivier
