    I.

    1. Aaron was chosen to be a Priest by God 2. Aaron was not the only one chosen to be a priest by God but his children also. (Exodus 28:1; Numbers 18:1; Hebrews 5:4)

    3. Similarly, Christ has became and is our high priest by divine appointment and attestation.

    (1 Timothy 2:5; John 3:16; Matthew 3:17; 2

    Peter 1:16-18)

    4. Aaron was particularly set aside by God just like Christ. (Leviticus 8:24-27)

    5. The Lord Jesus Christ was also hallowed and set apart for his task of redemption. (John 17:16-19)

II. AARON JUST LIKE CHRIST LIVED IN

    SOBRIETY AND WORKED TO BRING

    ATONEMENT TO THE PEOPLE

    1. To be able to perform their priestly functions, Aaron and his sons had to be without blemish.

    (Hebrews 9:6-8)

    2. Christ also had to present himself as the spotless Lamb of God and High Priest. (John 8:46; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22)

    3. Aaron, the high priest was the only one who could make atonement for the people.

    (Leviticus 16:1-3)

    4

    4. Christ was the only one who could make atonement for us with his own blood as our modern high priest. (Hebrews 9:7-17)

    CONCLUSION

Aaron was called by God to be a supporter of Moses in his ministry. Aaron and his sons where then divinely chosen to be high Priests of Israel.

ministry in some way represents the role of Christ in this New Testament as Christ is the mediator between God and us. Aaron supported Moses to the end and though some parts of their ministry showed their disobedience to God which cost them not entering the Promised Land, Aaron had a fulfilled ministry and his life serve as an example for us to learn from.
