      I always liked driving—that nowhere-to-go, nobody-to-see, ambling aimlessly along the highway kind. Cruising, as the young bucks say.

      Not for the reasons most people like it, though. Never was so interested in the myth of the so-called Open Road™. Don’t care to make a cross-country trip, or follow Route 66 straight off into the ocean like an idiot (I’m not even compelled to drive west to California, let alone all the way across country). And I definitely don’t need to see the world’s largest ball of twine, or whatever other silliness is out there. Driving for me isn’t an act of rebellion.
