About this ebook

Listen to your heart.

Seek the face of Elohim and total unity with Him.

“My heart says of You, ‘Seek His face!’

Your face, Lord, I will seek.” (Psalm 27:8)

Messianic Meditations is a collection of passionate contemplations about Yeshua and the spiritual journey to oneness with Him in the soon-coming eternal Kingdom. These meditations were written from the personal perspective of a woman whose life was transformed from lukewarm faith to a fiery heart of love for Messiah when the God of Israel revealed Himself in the person of Yeshua haMashiach. The revelation of Yeshua, the King of the Jews, and the plan of Elohim for the restoration of Israel, the nations, and, ultimately, the whole world, are themes throughout the writings. As you seek His face, pondering the meditations in this book will stir the flames of your heart to believe His prophetic Word and to put your hope fully in His promise of an eternal Kingdom, with the King literally reigning from Jerusalem on the restored planet earth. Fulfill your spiritual destiny to love Him with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.

    About the Author

    INTRODUCTION

MESSIANIC MEDITATIONS is a collection of meditations about passion for God, Messianic faith, the revelation of the Hebraic foundation of faith in Jesus, and the fulfillment of prophecy concerning Israel and the nations. It is written from my personal perspective reflecting meditations from my faith journey as a fervent follower of Yeshua haMashiach (the Messiah).

For many years, I have been active in what I will call the restoration of Israel and all things segment of the Messianic believing community. My voice has been one of proclamation of the Word of the Lord concerning these things expressed through teaching, speaking, writing, and leading others on revelatory, prophetic trips to the Land. It has been a blessed journey of providing opportunities for others to assemble at worship events, providing gatherings for sharing and learning, giving and supporting believers in Israel.

As fulfilling and meaningful as the work in the Restoration of Israel Movement has been, my deepest heart of hearts is for intimacy with the Lord and worshiping the Lover of my Soul with all that is within me, and helping others be released into a love relationship with Him, too. To love Him, we must first receive His great love for us, give it back to Him, and love what He loves. We must know what His story is all about concerning Israel, prophetic revelation, and the last days.

The book is arranged in Four Parts, with meditations under each Part. The Part titles are called —

Part One: Yeshua, My Lover, My Friend

    Part Two: Yoked to Messiah

Part Three: These Days — The Battle Rages

    Part Four: Kingdom Focus

Messianic Meditations can be read from beginning to end, or it can be read as daily meditations, or by subject.

The book is written for all believers in the God of Israel, the One True God — Abba, Yeshua, and the Ruach. It may resonate more readily with those who have been involved in the Messianic Movement, which includes Yeshua-followers, both Jew and Gentile, especially those who understand these prophetic times and the role of Israel and the foundations of our faith as believers in Jesus.

Even if some of the meditations are not typical of traditional Christian focuses and teachings, I pray with all my heart that these meditations will resonate with all genuine lovers of God, with truth-seekers, biblical Zionists, and believers from evangelistic faiths, as well as mainline and charismatic faiths.

My deepest prayer is that this book will be a blessing to believers who seek a deeper intimacy in their relationship with the Lord and will stir passion to love and worship Him more. I pray this passion will inspire meaningful service, using your unique spiritual gifts, for the glory of God and the Kingdom.

The Lord bless you and keep you as you meditate on Him and His greatness. How great is our God, and His mercy endures forever!

"May the words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer."

    Psalm 19:14

    MESSIANIC MEDITATIONS

    PROLOGUE

Seeking the face of God means that we want to know Him and to know Him intimately. He put within us an eternal component, a heart that intuitively seeks Him. A seeking heart will never stop searching out the Word of the Lord and desiring to know Him and His ways and His plans. He told us to seek Him, and He promised that we will find Him if we search for Him with all our hearts.

My soul delights in this quest for seeking Him. This book represents many seasons of my life, spent meditating, worshiping, seeking, praying, pondering, searching, marveling at the things of God and our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus).

The fullness of my quest is still in process, but the River of His Life and passion for Him has been released greatly because of the revelation of Israel and His restoration of His chosen people. This revelation brings understanding about the coming redemption of the entire creation through Yeshua.

His plan begins and ends with His covenant with Israel. The story of redemption and the revelation of Messiah Yeshua is fulfilled through God’s covenant with Israel and the Jewish people. I praise Him that the people of the nations who come to Him are joined with Israel as One New Man and are made part of the covenant through the blood of the Lamb.

The words written here are the meditations of my heart, and I pray they will be a blessing and encouragement to you as you listen to your own heart. More than anything else, these meditations are a call to stir passionate love, worship, wonder and awe for God Himself. The Center of every sanctified, burning heart is Elohim, God, who is revealed in fullness through Abba, the Father; Yeshua, the Son; and the Ruach haKodesh, the Holy Spirit.

"My heart says of You, seek His face! Your face, Lord, I will seek."

THIS IS MY LOVER, THIS MY FRIEND

Receiving the transformational love of Yeshua and giving His love back to Him

THIS IS MY LOVER, THIS MY FRIEND — REDEMPTIVE JEALOUSY

"This is my Lover, this my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem."

    (Song of Songs 5:16)

Love that provokes a redemptive jealousy — this is the love from and the love for Yeshua haMashiach, the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world — the One Who was, Who is, and Who is coming again.

How do you acquire a love that will provoke redemptive jealousy like this? It’s not for sale.

It’s free to us who believe — but bought at a costly and more-precious-than-diamonds price by Elohim Himself. Yeshua gives it freely to every hungry and seeking heart. But you must accept it.

How can jealousy ever be redemptive? It creates a desire to have what belongs to another. If jealousy is sufficient to provoke a person to seek what another person has, and when what is sought turns out to be Purity and Holiness Himself, then jealousy will be absolutely redemptive. And what a wonder that jealousy will propel Israel toward salvation!

And what does loving Yeshua have to do with Israel? What does passion for Yeshua have to do with the restoration of Israel, and indeed, the restoration of all things? What is the connection? The restoration of Israel through Messiah Yeshua brings life from the dead to the whole world (Romans 11:15).

"O daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you if you find my Lover, what will you tell Him? Tell Him I am faint with love."

    (Song of Songs 5:8)

These words proclaim to Israel — I know you don’t know your Messiah yet but if you should find Him, tell Him that I am totally and passionately in love with Him. You say to Israel — if you see Him, pass along to Him that I am so in love with Him. With every chance you have, you want to let the God of Israel know, I love you, Elohim — Abba, Yeshua, Ruach haKodesh.

By this, Israel knows that you know her Messiah and you confirm to her that when she does find Him, yes, she can be sure He is her Salvation. Yeshua haMashiach is the Salvation of Israel.

This love for Him is the power that provokes jealousy — the Oh, how I want that jealousy. When there is a display of supernatural love and a passion for someone, the biggest question on the lips of those who observe is Who is this person and why do you feel the way you do? Israel asks, How is your Beloved better than others, most beautiful of women? How is your Beloved better than others, that you would charge us so? (Song of Songs 5:9).

The question won’t be asked unless the love is authentic, genuine, and true. Authenticity is instinctively known by others. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.

You know it when Heaven comes down. You know when Heaven is inside a person, when the Kingdom is inside a living being, when God Himself dwells there, when a person is like Jerusalem, the dwelling-place of Elohim.

When you’ve been loved with an everlasting eternal love, and allowed that love to consume you, you will be relentless in seeking Oneness and unity and partnership with this One Called Faithful and True. And it slowly begins to dawn that your seeking heart is from Him for His great Kingdom purposes. Worship, passion, and love for God will draw others to Him, but the Lord gives us His Word that this love for Him, the God of Israel, the one true God, will particularly draw the Jewish people back to Him! After all, He is their God! And we in the nations, the Gentiles, have been grafted into their Tree, their Covenant.

"….proclaim peace….bring good tidings….proclaim salvation….say to Zion, Your God reigns!"

    (Isaiah 52:7)

"….salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous."

    (Romans 11:11)

We, who have been forever changed and transformed by His love, now know total unity and immersion into His Covenant, having been made heirs together with Israel and sharers in the promised inheritance. We proclaim the love that makes unbelieving Israel jealous — and not only do we proclaim and say it, we live it in such a way that the Truth of Yeshua Himself goes forth.

With our lives, we say to Israel –

"My Lover is radiant and ruddy, outstanding among ten thousand….." (Song of Songs 5:10)

We are saying that He is filled with strength and beauty and there is nobody like Him.

"His head is purest gold; His hair is wavy and black as a raven…."

    (Song of Songs 5:11)

We say that He is divine, He is God, and His strength is from everlasting to everlasting.

"His lips are like lilies dripping with myrrh…"

    (Song of Songs 5:13)

We say that the words from His mouth are pure and sacrificial, revealing an I will do anything, sacrifice everything I am, for your sake love.

"His mouth is sweetness itself; He is altogether lovely."

    (Song of Songs 5:16)

We say what He speaks, His Torah, is perfect, reviving the soul, and there is no flaw in Him. We speak the words to provoke Israel to jealousy causing her desire to also be to have a love like this for Yeshua.

Be part of the salvation of Israel. Be part of provoking Israel to jealousy. Be part of the greatest story ever told — the redemption and restoration of all things. Love Elohim with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and speak of it, say the words — This is my Lover, this my Friend…

    A WOMAN SURROUNDS A MAN

Our faith journeys have so many seasons. The one I am experiencing now is the realization that I want to satisfy His soul (Song of Songs 8:10). To do that, I must become more connected to His purposes, totally integrated into His life, what He is thinking about, what He is planning, loving what He loves and hating what He hates. I find myself so stirred to throw off the things of this world and to live more deeply in the Ruach.

I am realizing this calling to the priesthood, those set apart to serve Him on the earth, is our destiny as believers (I Peter 2:9). He is calling us to return to Him and to surround Him in an intimate way, like the wife He has called Israel to be. He said she would no longer call Him her Master, but she would call Him, my Husband.

"In that day, declares the Lord, you will call me, ‘my husband’, you will no longer call me, ‘my master.’"

    (Hosea 2:16)

We are being called to a higher level of intimacy with the Lord — with Abba, with Yeshua and with the Ruach. Each dimension of Elohim requires our worship and our devotion and an intimate level of relationship with Him in all His essence.

For always, since the Garden of Eden, God has sought out
