    CONCLUSION

    INTRODUCTION

There are several top-earning sub-categories in the interior design industry. These sub-categories are specialized fields, niches, and sub-niches. Although they are numerous, many aspiring interior designers fail to spot them, not to talk of realizing how profitable they may be.

Many designers are Jack of all trades. They work in many areas of the industry doing different tasks like interior painting, window treatments, flooring, upholstery and re-upholstery, and procurement. Some combine these diverse tasks with more complex ones like gutting an interior for renovation and kitchen upgrades.

Some interior designers may be adept at working on diverse projects; nothing wrong with that, but most who try to work this way tend to lack focus and direction, a sure way of losing revenue and become burnt-out.

Rather than be an anything-goes interior designer, it is best to concentrate on a few related areas or a standalone niche. Some of the best job opportunities in the building industry remain mainly for those in a specialized field.

As the industry grows, forward-looking interior designers are redefining their roles in the profession. They are re-assessing their creative pluses by thinking objectively about what aspect of interior design they love best and can excel in.

Interior design is a profession with many trunks, branches, and leaves, but deciding on a niche is not hard. Just think about the dozens of things that come to play in residential and commercial interior design and find the one you think you will excel in.

If you are a student of interior design, a beginner in the industry, or a veteran who is dissatisfied with it
