About this ebook
After years of trying to decide where I could add a bathroom, I finally found it!
I'm not an architect, contractor, electrician, or plumber. I am a handy person who wanted a second bathroom.
When I finally found the spot, so many people told me how neat the design was that I decided to share the design and the research I had done on options for fixtures.
I know there are other people who want an additional bathroom but haven't yet found the space. Trust me, it exists.
Putting a bathroom in a very small space is no easy task. In the book, I detail some of the technical issues you will encounter, out-of-the-box ideas for design, and bathroom fixtures that will make it all possible.

What Others Have Said About My Bathroom
Introduction
For nearly twenty years, I thought it would be nice to have a bathroom on my first floor. I have an older city house, small by today’s standards, and I couldn’t ever find a space to put one. My living room and dining room are both 11’ x 11’. I have a hallway leading back to a kitchen that is only 6-1/2 x 9 beside the living room and steps adjacent to that.
With the small rooms, I could never figure out which room from which I could remove a fairly large percentage of the room to make a bathroom without losing function from the original room. I debated an addition, but the cost was outside my budget. I debated closing in the front porch but, with the layout, I didn’t like that idea.
It’s something I thought about a lot, but had pretty much given up on. It would have been handy for guests -- and lately my mother and I stayed in hotel when she came to visit because my second floor steps were too much for her.
Late last year, I saw the light! Having no idea she was turning the light bulb on for me, my mother showed me an article in her local paper about Tumbleweed Tiny Houses. If you haven’t heard of them, they are very small houses, many less than 100 square feet that you can build yourself.
I looked at their floor plans, especially the bathrooms. I figured if they can build houses that are less than 100 square feet, I can certainly find a spot for a bathroom. Their bathrooms are great, some taking only 2’ x 4’.

I did a lot of research to make this bathroom work in the small space I used. There are lots of technical things to consider in adding a bathroom. Putting a bathroom in this small of a space was no easy task and required really thinking many
