it's the details of a thing…what eye love about Gabe’s poetry

the depth in the beauty of a moment slowed way down

eye enter her words and the legs of my mind and heart

slow to stroll as eye am carried like a precious thing

on the words of her song…her poetry

from the warm feel of the water on my skin

as a single mother washes the dishes

    and sneaks in some dreaming...

    to the joy in

    ‘Laughing at gravity with friends

    Barrelling down slippery dips’

    smile

    how she writes my thoughts

    she epitomizes what poetry is

    texture and color and feelings

    and secret thoughts and

the sweet in words that can also sting

these poems are a beautiful carpet ride

through a coloured galaxy that feels
