2022 WATER TIGER YEAR
Chinese Metaphysical studies work from the Chinese Calendar, also known as the farmer’s calendar
or the Hsia calendar.
The Chinese Calendar is a uniquely accurate system where everything in the Universe is represented by the Five Elements:
•Metal
•Water
•Wood
•Fire
•Earth
The relationship between these five elements helps to predict what is happening worldwide and within people’s destinies. Every person has a combination of all these elements present in their birth chart – known as Bazi, or Four Pillars of Destiny.
The elements’ presence gives insight into a person’s destiny. They interact with each other either positively or negatively, which either forms good or bad relationships, health or health issues, success or struggle, and so forth. From there, you can analyse a person’s destiny based on his or her birth date and better understand and accurately predict the cycles of a person’s fortune. In so doing, you can learn how to multiply the good luck or minimize the bad luck in life.
Additionally, the relationships of the Chinese Five Elements are believed to be the basic components of everything in the universe, including sounds, colours, shapes, directions, numbers, emotions, organs… the list goes on. Therefore, when you begin to understand the sophisticated relationships of the Five Elements, you can say that you have a greater understanding of the theory of life.
The interaction is classified into three cycles:
1.Productive Cycle
2.Exhaustive Cycle
3.Destructive Cycle
The elements are either favourable, producing positive things for each other, or they are unfavourable, and they exhaust or destroy us. The Earth also has a Bazi chart, which changes each year as it is derived from the elements present per the date.
In the Hsia calendar, 2022 is symbolized by two Chinese characters: Yang Water sitting on top of Wood Tiger. Yang Water is the Heavenly Stem (the character on the top), and the Tiger is the Earthly Branch (the character on the bottom). In the Five Elements cycle, Water gives birth to Wood.
According to the cycle of birth and destruction, if the two elements are in the birth cycle and have a supportive relationship, then the year will have more harmony. The 2022 Water - Wood elements configuration in a supportive cycle will help to resolve conflict and bring more harmony in international relationships. However, the Yang water on top represents fierce ocean water, which sometimes becomes a tsunami. This may trigger impulsive and fierce violent actions without careful consideration and planning.
It is likely there could still be skirmishes and conflicts, or even war and destructive actions, but it appears the Water Tiger year will be positive and productive, leading toward peace, healing, and recovery.
Qualities of Yang Water
Let us explore the nature of this year’s Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch. Though they do come together in a supportive relationship, do not be fooled as the characteristic of Yang Water is quite powerful.
Yang Water symbolises a powerful ocean water. It is also representing intelligence, enthusiasm, devotion, and pioneering. As such, it is associated with positive drive and innovative ideas. A person born on a Yang Water Day often appears to be energetic, aggressive like an ocean and full of drive and passion to achieve their goals. On the outside, they can sometimes behave harsh, impatient and impulsive. However, water is by nature a powerful and intelligent element, so Yang Water people often possess strong intelligence, enthusiasm, devotion, and leadership ability.
They are usually masculine, powerful, straightforward, and forceful types of people. A typical Yang Water person is Bill Gates. He is energetic, intelligent, and innovative. Not only is he a successful business leader, but also a generous philanthropist.
Other famous Yang Water celebrities include Tom Cruise, Jimmy Page, Paul McCartney, Prince Harry, Anthony Hopkins, and Warren Buffet. Yang Water ladies are equally charming and successful, with examples such as Kate Middleton, the US Vice-President Kamala Harris, Jennifer Lawrence, and Joan Jett.
Qualities of the Tiger
Rash, impulsive, and dynamic, Tigers don’t know how to sit still. They take fearsome risks but make good heroes. Tigers like to champion the underdog and will fight against any injustice. They are invariably charming and persuasive leaders, not because of any natural leading abilities, but because they can talk anyone into following them – no matter how ill-advised the project may be.
The Tiger is one of the most tenacious characters in the Chinese Zodiac and very little will daunt Tigers or keep them down for long. However, Tigers still have vulnerabilities and need lots of emotional support to compensate for their insecurities and feelings of not being loved.
Tigers have infinite resources of energy and imagination that will inevitably tire any lover they tangle with. They are promiscuous and have absolutely no morals whatsoever, with no compunction about finding new excitement once the current relationship has begun to fade. They are great romantics and fall in love easily and often. They do have a great capacity for intense relationships and are devastated when these fall apart, even if they are the cause. A Tiger in love can go rogue or simply perfect and you won’t know which sort you’re getting until it’s too late.
Tigers are loners with few good friends, but those they do have, they keep for life. They make good parents, not because they set good examples, but because children adore these exciting and charismatic personalities. They can be very strict and demanding, tending to expect a lot from their offspring. In business, Tigers are adventurous speculators, full of ideas. They are good at starting new projects with enthusiasm and energy, but they hate routine and get bored
