Daniel Moijueh, Jr. is a dynamic entrepreneur, Army veteran, community leader, jewelry store owner and designer, and proud father. Born in Sierra Leone, West Africa, Daniel witnessed firsthand the damage his home country endured during the Blood Diamond Civil War. Determined to contribute to the country's recovery and economic development, Daniel launched U.S.-based conflict-free diamond company Moijey Fine Jewelry & Diamonds in 2002. A passionate advocate for African youth, he established the Beyond The Carat Foundation to help rebuild countries affected by illegal mining through educational opportunities and sponsorships. Daniel is a decorated U.S. Army Iraq War veteran who served for 14 years before becoming the first Sierra Leonean-born diamond jeweler in America. He published his first children's book, The Adventures of JJ and Mr. Smith: The Magical Powers of Crystals and Gemstones in 2023. This interactive book is a fun, educational tale about a father and daughter bonding over their shared love of crystals and gemstones. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Bowie State University, a double Masters in Supply Chain Management and Acquisition, and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Global Management from the University of Maryland. An active member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity, he is heavily involved in economic development in his local community. Daniel believes strongly in taking ownership of turning your dreams into reality and is committed to making a positive impact globally through his life's work.
