About this ebook
This book contains 100 chess puzzles and their solutions, all of which are either zugzwang or zwischenzug tactics. The puzzles are intended for players of intermediate level.
Zugzwang refers to a scenario in which one player is forced to make a move although any move will worsen his position.
Zwischenzug is a tactic in which a player, instead of playing directly anticipated move (usually a recapture), first interposes another move that the opponent must respond to, and then plays the expected move.
