1.
I am a woman of the wild breed.
The breed that is sweeter than honey
if you're willing to hunt us down...
I am not in the hives of society
but in the hollow tree by the meadow.
My intuition is thick, and my tongue is heavy-
with truth and caring, integrity and love-
you will not find me easily...
My heart wandered off the beaten path years ago,
and my soul has no desire to return.
You must walk in adventure, or get truly lost,
to stumble upon a wild woman.
We were expelled from the masses,
only to learn we preferred it out here
in the forests, steppes, and mountains of the inner world...
we are the witches and weirdos,
the feared and forgotten, the wild and the free.
We do as we please and your opinion of our lives
does not weigh us down.
We grow and we learn and we grow-
for the concrete sidewalks of the tame
are not here to hinder us...
We will not be your entertainment-
but we will be here for your healing
when you are ready...
We do not jump at the sound of difficulty,
nor do we fear when others triumph-
for no matter the time, no matter the circumstance-
we will remain.
We will find the secret places,
and dance beneath the moon,
because the woman of the wild is within-
and the world craves her presence.
2.
I was born in the year of the dragon
and one lives within my soul-
She is my life force, my drive, my protection.
She has been caged by those who feared her,
attacked and plagued by disrespect,
but she is mine and she will triumph...
Her name is Determined.
I have a wolf that travels my forests-
He paces along the footpaths,
runs the borders and walls...
He checks the locks 3 times
and consistently considers the worst....
His name is Anxiety.
I have a bear that roams my wild,
large and fierce, but soft…
He lives in seasons,
taking in everything or nothing at all.
He sleeps to shake off soul's winter;
do not wake him, he will come out again...
His name is Depression.
I have a lion who sees all-
She roars and things quiet to listen,
she speaks and her words are gold.
She walks softly with padded feet,
but devours things not welcome
like hate and insolence and despair.
Her name is Love.
I have a 3 headed dog
who followed me home from hell-
he prods for cuddles and fetches with destiny.
He sleeps beside the dragon, chases her tail...
he has no chains here.
