Chapter 1

Blood is Blood no matter, how it spills

Life’s a bitch! Can’t say I ain’t see this shit coming, you win some and you lose some. Less than 24 hours from the life changing times of my life I’m facing another problem, only thing is this one don’t look too good for the home team. Pulling up to the store I could feel shit was out of place, call it what you like, but when you live life the way mine’s turned out, every day could be your last one. Hope this is not the end. Shit... I just started. How did I let my baby boy down screaming in my head to no one in particular, take me instead was the last of my thoughts before I seen that black hole I’d come use to seeing over the past years.

At the hospital, Jay was rushed to surgery in critical condition with a loss of blood and gunshot wounds that threatened to claim his life, shit wasn’t looking too good for the home team. 12 hours later the doctor was able to control the bleeding and remove some of Jay’s small intestines which placed Jay in stable condition. While all of that was going on. Jay JR was just a few doors down fighting for his own life. The shot to the chest he took was a few inches away from his heart, which was just an act of god cuz that would mean for sure death. With a blood transplant and some heavy meds Jay JR was on a long road to full recovery.

With Jaz at JR’s side each step of the way she pasted the hospital floor up and down while he slept a deep sleep, as you could guess the law was also there each step of the way asking Jaz questions after questions on the events and situation that took place just hours before this on Big Jays’ side of the ball. Things were no different, cops were all around, ready for Big Jay to make a full comeback just to rush his black ass off to his new paradise with the bars, gates and steel doors. When the cops arrived at the store where they found Jay barely breathing and dead bodies, they also found guns in Jay’s possession and being the only one still breathing, sure he would be the one to take the fall. The streets has done it again when the system fells the fools revals! One cop stated, hearing the present situations over the news of Big Jays wins in the court of two different murders just hours from now.

I knew I should have killed this man this nigga Zilla done took down my old man and my brother, was all Baby Jay was thinking, as he drives down i-10 east to change cars before he returned to Denton hospital to follow up on his brother Jay JR and see how his pops was holding up. Baby Jay phone had ringed, It was a call from Sunshine telling him the hospital and the condition of Big Jay and Jay JR and all the cops around.

Sunshine was fried about what had happened to Big Jay and Jay JR, she was proud of all the things she had taken care of for Big Jay while he was gone, she wanted so bad for Big Jay to see how down she was and how she can get stuff done like Big Jay liked. She wanted to show him the new house in Lafayette all the new business she had opened and tried. If my baby didn’t pull through I was going to rock Beaumont to sleep, Sunshine thought as she sat outside Big Jay’s room looking in at him as he slept with tubes in his mouth fresh out of surgery.

Baby Jay was in the clear by time he ditched the car and changed clothes, he shot straight to Denton hospital to catch up with Jaz and Sunshine and learn more on Big Jay and Jay JR. What’s up ma, we all good, Baby Jay stated to Sunshine as he crossed over a few detectives that was standing outside Big Jay’s room door.

So far so good. Sunshine stated. He’s been through a lot but it looks like he will pull through. The doctor says they will know more in the morning when they will be able to take Big Jay to have a full CT Scan, but for now, just let him rest due to the surgery being successful.

That’s good. Baby Jay stated, just happy to see that his pops and main man was still in the game. What about Jay JR? he asked Sunshine.

He’s looking good, the bullet just missed his heart, had to get some blood and now he’s just in a deep sleep due to the meds he’s on. Jaz is in the room with him at this time, cops are over at his room too, they will be leaving soon though, it’s the doctor’s request that both men should be left to rest and is in no shape of answering questions, but we can stay to rest due to the fact that we are family, and family is good to be seen when they waken up.

Good, good. Baby Jay stated, You need to eat something, you look like you’re on your last leg. He stated to Sunshine just to light up her mood.

Boy the last thing I can do is eat at a time like this, just grab me a coffee, I’m gone be up the moment Big Jay wakes up.

Ok bet I got you. Baby Jay stated as he turned to walk away looking at both cops in the eyes.

Well son nice to meet you, one cop said to Baby Jay handing him a card with his name on it, detective Vincent it read. Sorry for what’s going on with your dad and brother, but if you know anything to help with this case, it would be really helpful for your dad at this time. if there’s anything you may come across that will help, feel free to call anytime, we will be around tomorrow at 8:00 am every day until your dad wakes up and we take him in. Detective Vincent stated with a grin on his face instantly pissing me the fuck off, but I stayed calm and replied, Yea thanks and have a good night. As I stepped out to go find the cafeteria for some snacks and coffee.

As I pushed the button on the elevator to go down I couldn’t help but to feel relieved that my pops and my bro would pull through just as I knew they would. Down in the cafeteria I ordered two cheese burgers, two fries and two cheese cakes just in case Sunshine changed her mind, while I was getting the coffee my phone ringed. It was Sunshine, so I picked it up. Baby Jay come back quick Big Jay woke up and he’s asking for you. Come quick!!! She said before I hung up leaving the coffee and running to the elevator to get back up to the I.C.U. floor.

When I made it up to pop’s room, the doctor was requesting the tube to be moved from pop’s mouth so he could talk, so we waited on the doctor to give the clear on that. Shit, I was just happy seeing pop’s eyes open. So we had to clear the room for that but like, in 20 minutes or so we were let back in due to pop’s request. What’s good? I state to pops as he looked up at me and Sunshine, you got it Big Jay reply. Where Jay JR and Jaz? he asked next not knowing if he didn’t remember what happened, I told him a few door down that Jay JR was recovering from a chest shot and is in a deep sleep for now due to meds. Big Jay just looked frozen for a few seconds then asked how long was he out with a groggy voice. Over 16 hours I stated.

Then he turned to Sunshine I knew my girl would be by my side a true ride or die. he smiled at her, and looked back at me. Say son you got the heart of a true G, and you and your brother is all we got in this game make sure y’all there for each other no matter what, blood is blood don’t let nothing come through that ya hear?

For sure pops, without a doubt. I replied back and gave pops some dap. Sunshine he stated. You gone get all you need in this life, loyalty gone take you past the top, and you been just that to me and my boys from day one, so I want you and Baby Jay to take shit over and do what you know best to do, go hard for daddy and make sure you respect my kids just as you do me ‘cause I’m making you number one baby in my life from this moment on. Sunshine started crying ‘cause deep down she’s been waiting on Big Jay to tell her those words from the very first day she chose up.
