WOULD I END UP LIKE DAD?

As the crowd erupted into cheers around us, my dad Bill, then 70, and I jumped up with excitement, too. It was October 2019 and Dad and I were at the Rugby World Cup in Japan. Huge rugby fans, we loved watching the games together and we’d decided to treat ourselves to this once-in-a lifetime trip. It was nice to spend quality time with Dad. At 33, I worked as a solicitor and was married to my husband Joe. Life was busy, so spending the week just the two of us, watching the game we loved, felt extra special.
