I thank God the Father and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom belong all glory, honour, and praise, for you wrote the story of my life before the foundation of the world.
To my sister Teena, who from the very beginning patiently edited my run-on sentences and typed up my testimony, thank you for being there through all my ups and downs and believing in me. Thank you for your loving support and nurturing Christ in me.
To my brother in Christ Clifton Buchanan, pastor, mentor, and friend, and his family, thank you for all the late-night conversations in Christ. Thanks for your wisdom, encouragement, and assistance in publishing this book.
I would like to thank my family for their prayers and encouragement in my journey of faith in Christ Jesus. Special thanks to my mother who passed away in 2006 and witnessed her son finally come to faith and be baptized a month before she passed away. Thank you for being there during my second divine deliverance and giving me your bible to cry on.
Finally, I thank all the church brethren who have touched my life with your prayers, love, encouragement, and support throughout my walk with God. Thank you, family of God.
Opening Scripture
Return to your own house, and show what great things God has done for you. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done unto him
(Luke 8:39).
Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and has had compassion on you
(Mark 5:20).
And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had before prepared unto glory, even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles
(Romans 9:23–24).

Introduction
I, John Abraham Norte, bear witness to the Light. I am a living testimony of God's mercy and saving grace to all of humanity, His people and His Church. I am no different from any other. After all, we are all sinners. When Jesus Christ delivered the man possessed with a legion, He said, Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and has had compassion on you
(Mark 5:20).
I have been delivered from death and Satan the adversary by our Savior Jesus Christ, not just once, not just twice, but three times. Three times a thing is established
(Matthew 18:16, 2 Corinthians13:1). God does not treat us as our sins deserve, but as far as east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us, and as a father has pity on his children, so the Lord pities them that fear him
(Psalms 103:12–13).
In my first deliverance, I did not know God; yet, He came and rescued a sinner like me from near-death in a car accident. He called me out of the darkness into the light of His beloved Son (and I received my calling). In my second deliverance, I was not baptised nor in the faith. In fact, I was running away from my calling; yet, He came and rescued me from a legion. However, in my third deliverance, I was baptised but stumbled in my walk; yet, He came and delivered me from Satan the adversary and his legions.
I have seen Jesus Christ, and I have heard the voice of His mouth. He is truly alive! And His Spirit is moving in these Latter Days to call out those whom He foreknew and predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son that He might be the firstborn among many brethren
(Romans 8:29).
Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called, and whom he called, them he also justified, and whom he justified, them he also shall glorify. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
(Romans 8:29–31).
For I am persuaded, that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord
(Romans 8:38–39).
I am testifying of all that I have seen and heard. This is my testimony.
Part 1
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to your loving-kindness: according unto the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your sight: that you might be justified when you speak and be clear when you judge. Behold, I was shaped in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold you desire truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part you shall make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean: wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which you have broken may rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence; and take not your holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of your salvation; and uphold me with your free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors your ways; and sinners shall be converted unto you
(Psalm 51:1–13).
I remember my affliction and my chastisement, the bitterness and the sorrow. My soul has them still in remembrance and is humbled in me. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion says my soul; therefore will I hope in Him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeks Him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation [Hebrew: Yeshuw'ah or Yahshua, meaning salvation] of the Lord
(Lamentations 3:19–26).
Chapter 1
The Warning Accident
January 1989, I was a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman. We had an unwritten policy at work that the last person to show up in the morning would buy the entire sales staff coffee and donuts. So I rushed off to work in a great hurry, not paying any attention to the winter weather alert. I wasn't taking heed of the conditions around me; in fact, I was in the midst of a snowstorm. Yet, here I was, speeding down Highway 401, Toronto, in my Mustang GT Cobra, doing 120 km/hr. (75 miles/hr.) in the fast lane without proper winter tires.
Comment: Does this sound like you in the fast lane of life?
All of a sudden, I hit black ice. My rear tires slid out from under me, and I immediately fishtailed sideways, then started doing 360-degree rotations across the highway. I tried to regain control by taking my foot off the accelerator and fighting the spin but to no avail. Each time my car spun around to face the other vehicles behind me, I could see the
