    Meet Ricky, a 10-year-old skateboarder who loves to hang out and do tricks at the skate park with his two best friends, Pat and Nelly. Ricky has always dreamed of having a cell phone, and for his 10th birthday, his parents surprised him with one.

    Excited to have his very own device, Ricky takes his phone everywhere he goes, even to go skate. However, Ricky soon discovers that having a cell phone comes with responsibilities he wasn't quite ready for.

    With the help of his parents and friends, Ricky learns to be more mindful of his actions and the consequences they may have. He also realizes that it's important for kids to go outside and have fun, instead of being glued to their screens all day long.

    Through Ricky's journey, young readers will learn the importance of being responsible with their belongings, and that it's okay to enjoy the outdoors without technology.
