The Cherries Quiz Book - Twocan
INTRODUCTION
AFC Bournemouth’s loyal fans certainly know their stuff. Having personally first visited Dean Court back in the 1990s, prior to redevelopment, and also the new Vitality Stadium in more recent times, I have always found the Cherries fans to be some of the most knowledgeable around. There is no doubting the club’s supporters are fully appreciative of all that modern day AFC Bournemouth offers in the Premier League.
This collection of 100 quizzes has a mixture of questions - there will be some that all supporters will know the answer to, a selection that will put your Cherries’ knowledge to the test and also a few that may even challenge those who class themselves as a real AFC Bournemouth brain-box.
The quizzes cover a number of different topics from players, to promotion-winning seasons and managers to kit manufacturers. With 1000 questions to tackle there is something to take on for all fans regardless of how long you’ve been watching the Cherries’ fortunes fluctuate.
See how many of the questions you can get right - there are a number of questions with a simple true or false answer, and also a number of questions with multiple choice answers. If you can get 728 correct you will have equalled Steve Fletcher’s record number of appearances for the Cherries. I would also say that getting 728 out of the 1000 shows you clearly know your stuff.
Hopefully there will be something over the coming pages for everyone and this book may well help pass the miles en route to away matches when perhaps a little bit of friendly in-car or on-coach competition can take place.
Finally, I would also like to acknowledge many sources including afcb.co.uk, soccerbase.com, football historian Leigh Edwards and the Rothmans / Sky Sports / The Sun Football Yearbooks.
Enjoy the quizzes and up the Cherries!
