Jack sat nervously at the café, sipping on his coffee while reading Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea. He had always been a fan of Hemingway and his tormented protagonists. Jack saw himself in the characters of Hemingway's novels - lonely, introspective, and misunderstood. Jack was lost in his thoughts when a man walked into the café, catching his attention.

The man was tall, muscular, and had a rough exterior that was both intimidating and intriguing. Jack couldn't take his eyes off him as the man walked towards him with a swagger. The man sat down at the table next to Jack, who was still lost in his thoughts.

Is that a good read? the man asked, pointing to the book in Jack's hands.

Jack looked up and shyly nodded, Yes, it's one of my favorites.

I've never been much of a reader myself, but if it's one of your favorites, then it must be good, the man said with a smile that made Jack's heart skip a beat.
