Chapter 1 – The Dream Is Interrupted
A loud yell from outside of the house awakened the relaxed lady, the lady was stunned and was grumbling as she tossed and turned, eager to get that dream back.
The dream was that she was flying, with gorgeous plumose wings, soaring through the sky with a trace of glittering rainbows after her, there were eagles and birds airborne with her, squealing and screeching, their cotton-like ends bobbling up and down as they moved efficiently.
But clearly, every day, she would be bothered by that yell, the shout that could be considered as her alarm clock.
She scrambled into her PPE clothes, brushed her hair and did her daily things, she hurried out with a frown, her eyes were slightly red by the lack of sleep, it was only in sleep did she think she was ever content.
Dr. Harriet, good to see you slightly...um...calm.
The man said, it was Dr. Carter (John Carter) who was hollering in the morning, he was also a medic, like Sally Harriet, he was a jolly and positive man, but was lately worried by the current disease increasing across the town, it was called ‘Deathbell Disease’.
"Yes, definitely calm. I’m definitely not frustrated by your daily racket, not to mention the loud screams of those inane children frolicking around like clowns." Sally articulated, in a ‘calm’ voice, she grinned sardonically, and spun around to indicate the kids.
Sally, please, they’re just youngsters. Anyways that’s not the problem, it’s about the Deathbell Disease epidemic!
John said, he gripped onto a notepad, the pad was written all about the symptoms of the Deathbell disease.
You think I have enough energy...ah forget it. You’ve been bringing up this situation so many times, why is it such a popular issue?
Sally mumbled crossly, sighing as John explained for at least 15 minutes.
They were walking swiftly to the medical centre as they spoke.
It’s serious, Sally. A number of people in the town have died, and even Dr. Uriah Raymond died as well.
John bowed his head in anguish, Sally narrowed her eyes.
Really, Raymond wasn’t even nice.
Sally murmured darkly, though her voice was loud, and all the medics glanced at her, their eyes broadened.
Sally! Your awfully insolent, you know! Just because you didn’t like Uriah, doesn’t mean he was a wicked man. He crafted the Core Vial, the essence that assisted fish with rabies.
Alicia yelled, she was clasping onto a vial and inspected it with her hands, as if it was some new machinery.
"Yeah, Uriah is a legend." A lady said, beaming, and putting her hands on her hips.
Anyhow, come with me.
John told Sally to put goggles and more gear on, then he led her into the medical room, where dozens of citizens were vomiting and choking by the disease. Some
