Tales of Ravenwood - William L. Truax III

    Ravenwood

It was a dark and stormy night in the small town of Ravenwood, nestled in the heart of the dense forest. The townspeople were all tucked away in their homes, safe from the fierce winds and heavy rain that lashed against their windows.

But something was different about this storm. It was as if the very air itself was thick with an unexplainable sense of dread. And as the night wore on, the townspeople began to hear strange noises coming from the old mansion on the hill - the home of the wealthy and reclusive Ravenscroft family.

As the hours passed, the noises grew louder and more terrifying. There were screams and moans, the sound of glass breaking, and the sickening thud of something heavy hitting the ground.

Eventually, a group of brave townspeople decided to investigate. They made their way up to the mansion, braving the raging storm and the ominous feeling that hung in the air.

When they arrived, they found the front door of the mansion ajar. As they stepped inside, they were greeted by a scene of utter horror. The Ravenscroft’s had been brutally murdered; their bodies scattered throughout the mansion.

But that was not the worst of it. The townspeople soon realized that the Ravenscroft’s had not been alone in the mansion that night. Something dark and malevolent had been there with them, and it had been the cause of their gruesome demise.

The townspeople fled the mansion, knowing that they could not stay in Ravenwood any longer. In the days that followed, the town was abandoned as people left in droves, too afraid to stay in a place where such unspeakable evil had taken hold.

And so, the once-beautiful town of Ravenwood fell into ruin, a ghostly reminder of the horrors that had taken place there. No one knows for sure what happened to the Ravenscroft’s that night, or what unspeakable evil had taken up residence in their home. But one thing is certain - the fall of Ravenwood will never be forgotten, and the town will forever be known as a place where darkness reigns.
