Magic is only one. There are no different kinds of magic even though scholars organize them into categories. Simply to better study magic, similar beliefs and practices have been grouped together, giving them a common name associated with a color. So, we can talk about white magic, black magic, red magic, green magic, blue magic etc. But all of them, deep down, are the same. Magic is a dream come true, a prayer answered, a goal realized. It is also a newborn child, the petals of a rose, a symphony by Beethoven. Magic encompasses many things, but it is an act of creation.

Sigmund Freud was notoriously superstitious, and Carl Gustav Jung made a study of magic, so serious and profound, that many of his detractors accused him of dabbling excessively in mysticism.

A standard dictionary defines magic as art that purports to produce effects of control over events by means of charms, spells, and rituals supposed to govern certain natural and supernatural forces: The words pretend and supposed represent the caution and often skeptical attitude that many educated people adopt toward magic. This is the part of the myth that states that only those who are ignorant and uneducated believe in the supernatural. Primitive societies, such as those formed by the Australian Aboriginal people or the South American Indians, share a belief in magic with some of the greatest minds of all time.

For magic there is no impossible if the one who practices it acts with faith. The main goal of magic is to bend nature in the interests of oneself. What differentiates the different types of magic is the path they follow to achieve that goal. The only thing you must remember is that magic is governed by the law of triple return. So, everything you do, good or bad, will come back to you in triplicate. It is your choice to use magic rituals to help or harm.

Magic starts from spiritual principles that do not belong to the physical world, with it what is wanted is to dominate nature, the visible and the invisible. One can appeal to the beneficent powers of the Universe or to the malefic.

The term magic is related to the supernatural, that which has no logical explanation, but which we know exists. We must pay attention to the type of magic that is chosen to obtain a certain objective since the nature of the magic itself will determine the success after obtaining the result.

By this I mean that every action has a reaction, and we must weigh all the variables before undertaking a certain ritual. When we start working with magic, we should first know exactly what goal we want to achieve. To begin with, we should be able to synthesize in a single sentence, which must be clear and coherent, our purpose.

Glossary of Terms in Magic

Aphrodisiac:  A substance that stimulates sexuality.

Waters and Spirits: They are activated by evaporation, transmitting its light to the ether, thus generating the transmutation process. They generate a sweeping action and vibrational turnover acting on the subtle causes of disharmonizing. Usually, the effect is purifying in the extreme, but in already purified structures the process becomes a rectification of that same purification, which helps to raise the vibrations to a new state of evolution. Remember that they should always be used, in all cases, accompanied by a prayer and elevation of an order. They can be activated by evaporating them in containers specially designed for this purpose, such as stoves, or any other device, preferably ceramic, subjected to heat. Employees on objects or environments can be sprayed on them always with a single ritual functionality.

Aksha: (ether) The fifth element, the spiritual power that permeates the universe, energy from which the Elements have been formed.

Alchemy: It is a powerful tool of knowledge aimed at regenerating the manifestations of the energy of life that are embodied in the universe, positively transforming all the planes of existence guided by the light of God. That is why it is not a simple philosophical doctrine or a fantasy that gave rise to the first chemical experiments, it is an inner work that is reflected in concrete facts and substances treated, to raise its vibrations giving it a new form. Alchemy allows you to tune the vibrations and give them new shapes. Other definitions of this sacred science say that it is separating the impure from the purest substance in order to generate a renewed substance, with the help of God or our spiritual guides, as part of a spiritual mission generated by his will and fruitful work. The ancient sages received, developed, and protected this secret knowledge, which flourished in Egypt, India, China, Europe, Africa, and America. They authored their books in complicated codes to take care of their knowledge of the misuse that could be given to them by ignorant and ill-intentioned people. That is why Alchemy cannot be learned as a common technique or science, it is necessary to have the art and the gift to begin to undertake the long road of the work and decipher the code.

Altar: Most sorcerers have an altar in their sacred space. For some, the altar represents their space of power, a place that belongs to God or His spiritual beings. The witch or sorcerer focuses her energies for many works of magic on or near him. Whenever a witch approaches you, she automatically thinks of her spirit guides or God. Your altar can be a bedside table, a chair, a table or even a log: when you delve into witchcraft or magic, you will see that the important thing is not what you create your altar with, but that you really create one. There are people who use flat stones as altars. They put them on a table or on the floor. They can leave it in one place all the time or pick it up if someone disturbs them at home. If you use some type of furniture for the arrangements of your altar, then you can set it aside in a corner, if necessary, when you are not using it. The arrangement of an altar is the set of everything that a witch or sorcerer places on it. Those who work in established and traditional groups have arrangements on their altars that belong only to their group. These arrangements contain the representation of the four elements, such as a wand, chalice, or other elements.

Amulet: Object endowed with magical powers, which deflects certain specific energies that are usually negative is usually taken as a protective element.

Anaphrodisiac: A substance that reduces sexual desire such as camphor.

Sprinkler: Bunch of fresh herbs or perforated objects used to spray water or other liquids during rites or before the celebration of rites.

Witchcraft: Magic of sorcerers or witches based on the use of personal power together with the energy that exists in stones, herbs, colors, and other natural objects.

Esbat: Time when the Wiccan rite of the Full Moon is celebrated.

Exorcism: Traditionally, the magical process of expulsion of negative entities has been called exorcism. In the magic of herbs, very intense purifications are called this name.

Spell: Magical rite of non-religious characteristics by its nature and accompanied by the pronunciation of specific words.

Grass: Vegetable used in the art of magic. Herbs usually have an intense perfume and specific energies. Trees, grasses, fruits, flowers, algae, vegetables, and plants are included under this name.

I Incense is a resinous substance that is used to stimulate ritual consciousness and direct energy, in this way its perfumed smoke purifies away negative vibrations.

Incubus: Demon or male spirit. He was believed to sexually tempt women and abuse them.

Wiccan Magic: Wiccan or Celtic magic is that of the communion of Nature and Divine Essence. With that power they take responsibility for their lives and the ability to bring about change. Magic is the springing from human potency. Its definition is Do what you want as long as you harm no one

Oils or oils: Their actions are personal or environmental, and their application associated with prayer and a positive request for assistance to the universe or your spiritual guides is always convenient. It is important to know that the beneficial effect of alchemical oils and distillates will manifest exclusively on the one they are activated, for example: person, place, object. Therefore, do not raise an order that involves other houses, people, etc. that are at a distance from the place of activation of the oil or the selected alchemical distillate. These alchemical elements operate in a different way than pastes, waters, and elixirs since they act internally on the soul and spirit.

When you finish using all the liquid content, the vegetables that are deposited at the bottom of the container must be extracted and burned on a burning censer or vegetable coal, since they contain the maximum power. Both oils and distillates are activated by evaporation.

Aromatherapy. Place some mineral water in the stove bowl Light the candle on the stove and add seven drops of alchemical oil or distillate to the bowl to the subtle fire you have selected. Slowly the alchemical components will begin to evaporate and become active. Up to three oils or distillates can be combined in the same stove, thus generating combinations of high energy power to act on several planes of the same problem to be harmonized. At the environmental level or in its use on objects, a cotton ball can be soaked with a few drops of the chosen oil or distillate and applied directly on the chosen surface. (There are already diffusers or oil lamps)

Ostara: Wiccan festival that takes place during the spring equinox. It marks the beginning of authentic spring. This is the festival of fire, which celebrates the resurgence of the Earth's fertility.

Pendulum: Pendulums provide excellent response to the dowser in all types of application. They are ideal for making diagnoses of all kinds and designing treatments in all kinds of alternative therapies, for the detection of the state of psychological research chakras, pathologies, emotional, anatomical planes, and analysis of the auric field. The pendulum has the virtue of capturing with great intensity the different emissions of the objects that make up an environment and their influences on it and human beings for the detection of energy networks, electromagnetic fields, geological faults, underground rivers and other emissions of the soil and subsoil, as well as for investigations of archaeological sites.

Pentagram: A fundamental five-pointed star visualized with an upward tip. The pentagram represents the five senses, the elements Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Ákasha (see Ákasha), the human hand, and body. It is a protective symbol. It is now associated with Wiccan magic.

Astral Projection: Activity that consists of separating the soul from the physical body and displacing it at will.

Rite or Ritual: Ceremony with certain movements, manipulation of objects or internal processes, aimed at producing the desired effect. In magic it produces a specific state of consciousness that allows the magician to direct the energy towards the precise target. Spells are magical rituals.

Sabbat: Wiccan festival celebrated on October 31. In Samhain, energy is collected before the rigors of winter. On this night since very ancient times, magic has been done.

Talisman: Object endowed with magical powers that attract a certain force or energy to the wearer.

Tincture: Scented liquid produced by dipping vegetables with ethyl alcohol. If the tincture is medicinal, the vegetables should be dipped with apple cider vinegar.

What is a magic target?

Before you start working with a spell, you should know exactly what you want to get. Think of you and your magic goal as dots on a map. If you have no idea where you want to go, you also won't know which way to get there. You should be able to express in a single sentence what your goal is.

At first, some of these desires may seem negative, but remember that it is the ultimate intention of the spell that determines whether it is negative or not. For example, breaking a relationship sounds like a bad thing, but it can be a necessary step to help you through a difficult time and move you back in the right direction.

Each objective has a list to prepare your own mixtures, rituals, talismans, and you can make substitutions, that is, if you do not find any element you can replace it with another, and it will fulfill the same objective.

Different Types Different Types of Magic

There are several categories within spells.

Most are extremely popular methods of making magic and have been used since time immemorial.

Magic categories

Magic with incense: He specializes in the use of fragrances to obtain a magical end. When burned, it stimulates ritual consciousness, that is, the precise mood to awaken and direct personal energy. Incense brings you into an altered state of consciousness because they suggest you with the smell.

Magical Herbalism: We use the powers that exist inside plants, herbs, flowers, trees, and leaves as a catalyst for magic. Herbs contain energy that we can use to improve our lives.

Magic of oils and essences: Use essential oils, tinctures, teas, or other mixtures from plants such as petals, leaves, and roots.

Planetary Magic: Harness the powers and influence of the planets through astrology to reinforce the power of a spell.
