ACKLOWLEGEMENTS
The final draft of this book would not have been possible without major editing assistance from my sister, Karen Dee Smith Rider, and review/formatting assistance from her husband, Robert Wagner. I am grateful to both.
It also would not have happened without the support and input from the many people who during my life supported and encouraged me at various times in untold ways too numerous to account for in these pages. I have been blessed.
Special thanks also to my three daughters, Tammi, Cathy, and Sherry for the roles they have played in making my life meaningful. It would have been so much less so without them.
PREFACE
The ego-mind or simply mind
has risen strongly lately and is being amplified by the social media. The woke
society is not awakened or enlightened but is a manifested new belief system that has declared war with the old belief systems. This is an old cycle, one that will be repeated so long as there is a human population.
What is new is the technology megaphone. The only mitigation is our connection to God and access to universal intelligence. After all, we are made from the same building blocks that were used in the creation of the universe. It is a fact supported by quantum mechanics that we all have the same wave functions that are entangled forever although inhibited by our own identities. We shall explore this assertion. It is the answer to:
Who is God?
In support of that premise, it is the purpose of this book to provide testimony and scientific theory in support of the existence of God who is now and forever the source of all energy in the Universe.
This book begins with a calling
that transformed my life forever. It was so powerful that the path forward partnered with this intelligence was to simply take each step presented and try to stay the course. A son of a true Smith, I was given the love for science and engineering. My goal was to help mankind explore the universe. In the beginning, it was to be our exploration of the solar system, our own back yard.
Staying the course is tricky since we all are saddled with the mind. It is constantly creating distractions, so the journey is fraught with internal battles. Winning those battles is based on knowing your mind so you are at choice.
My path laid out in this book is in chronological order in order that one can see the gain in wisdom. If I had adhered to all the wisdom gathered up to now, my time would have been more wisely used.
My path was pioneering science and engineering at the forefront of our technology. As far back as I can remember, there was always a curiosity about what the heck
is going on. My family owned a small country store in Peniel, West Virginia, where farmers would hang out and shoot the bull. They all gathered around a pot-bellied stove and chewed tobacco, a vice I took up later while playing baseball.
One day my brother and I were at the store preschool and bored. We began throwing paper wads into the stove. I noticed the paper wads exploded BEFORE they hit the flames. What the heck?
I deduced there must be a hot gas surrounding the fire that would cause such a thing.
My father saw what was going on and said, You will catch the ceiling on fire doing that. Stop it!
He left, but I wanted to be sure of my theory by tossing a wad away from the coals where there might be less gas. I was doing that when my father appeared again and said, Okay, now go across the road and cut a switch.
All the men were silent, and I left the store, went out the front door, and across the road to a bank with some brush. All I could find was a small twig about 3-4 inches in length. I was able to break it off and came directly back.
Upon entering the store, the men began to laugh. My dad had been waiting, and he began to laugh. I noticed the men trying not to giggle but were unsuccessful. He said, Okay, we’ll skip the punishment for now.
I later operated that store when Dad was away working. The bookmobile would come around, and I oversaw the stocking of the bookcase. It got stocked with mostly astronomy and science books to the point that customers complained about the selections.
About the same time, I was a witness to a strange event on a country road. I believe I experienced the energy field that immerses all mankind. My curiosity explored that space as to the pursuit of its origin. It wasn’t enough to understand but to be able to receive the messages presented. In other words, it helps to understand the universal intelligence in us all and know how to access it. Hopefully, the reader will find his/her chosen mission and learn to follow their own path.
At odds with one’s mission is the mind born out of survival.¹ I found that my only identity job was to get out of the way. By using sheer presence, the identity can be managed to be quiet, listen, and think. The woke society is a classic example of the reverse. There will be a pushback to this mind emphasis, often referred to as a drunken monkey by our Buddhist caretakers. Eckhart Tolle predicted it would be fifty years before a complete collapse of this identity madness. All I know is my experience, and I say the Holy Spirit is more powerful than Facebook raised to the nth power. However, we need to help now to limit the damage. Climate change isn’t our greatest threat; identity worship is.
About that same time there will be real technology on the way in the form of nuclear fusion. The climate change nonsense will fade since nuclear fusion by-products are harmless.
Extending nuclear fusion to space travel will be harder. It will take all of us to direct that energy to the exploration of distant star systems with new Earth-like planets. In the end of time, our Sun will dim and grow larger and finally wink
out. We should be well on our way to inhabit these new worlds with God’s blessing.
I don’t know what will become of the new woke society as they may perish along the wayside. It cannot be prevented, but weep no more, for they hopefully shall pass on the Holy
