Chapter 1

It sure was a boring day. Josie was watching her brothers and sisters once again. Frederick, leave that thing alone. That’s not yours. That is mom’s screwdriver. Darla, take those blankets and stuffed animals back to your bedroom now!

Darla threw a tantrum and stormed out of the living room and threw them onto the bedroom floor.

Blair was just sitting at the kitchen table drawing when Fredrick  came up and took one of her markers and yelled.

I want to color!

Blair looked at Frederick with the evil eye, Give me my marker back!! She was not very happy at this point.

This day was not going so well. She wished that she could just put them all on their beds and have them take naps until mom came back home.

Larry was just sitting on the couch reading Tom Sawyer. Abigail came through the door What are you doing with my book? Give it back. As she grabbed the book the back cover came off landing on the floor.

Josie grabbed the book and threw it by the printer that was next to the living room couch. She told all of them to get on their beds.

Right after that, the phone rang. Josie ran over to the phone and waited to see if it was mom calling,

It's mom. Pick up. It’s mom.

She told her mother what was going on and her mom told her that she did the right thing.

They can all stay there ‘till I get home. replied mom

Can I have some tea, mom?

Only one cup Josie.

As she hung up the phone a mouse ran across the floor right over her feet. She thought, Oh well, it can just stay there until dad gets home to take care of it. As the water in the kettle was heating up for her tea she thought of what she wanted to do as she was all by herself now that the kids were in their beds. She saw a puzzle that Tammy had gotten her and she decided to do that.

The jigsaw puzzle was a picture of a pegasus. As she was doing the puzzle she kept dreaming about being somewhere else.

It took her about an hour and a half to finish the jigsaw puzzle. She got up to check on her brothers and sisters to make sure they were in their beds. Each one had fallen asleep except for Blair. She was doing her usual thing. Just sitting in her bed reading her book.

As she walked back to look at the jigsaw puzzle Josie heard some strange noises. Getting up she opened the sliding glass door and checked the backyard, but nothing was going on out there. Maybe it's in the front yard, she thought.

Going to the front door Josie opened it and walked out, but once again nothing was going on. I wonder where that noise is coming from. Once again she checked all the bedrooms but it was quiet in each room.

Chapter 2

When Josie came back to the puzzle she had just finished she saw that there was a light going out of the puzzle. There appeared to be a noise coming out of it also. She thought this can not be! but upon further examination, she discovered that indeed the light and noise were coming from the puzzle!

Just then the jigsaw puzzle was moving around and the pegasus head was coming out of the jigsaw puzzle. It was like doing a 3D puzzle. Gradually it crept out of the puzzle. Flying around, it was the size of a fly, until it shook its body.

Standing by their bedroom door were Larry and Albert. They both could not believe the sight that they saw. Larry was a little less surprised but Albert was terrified. (Remember, Larry had seen some pretty crazy things in HIS adventure.) He asked Larry to pinch him to make sure that he was seeing what he was seeing. He just couldn’t believe it. At that moment, Josie looked over her shoulder and
